🎶Earlier this month Shane had the opportunity to go and see GEN X live at Wallsend Diggers & Mezz Bar. He got VIP access to the band and had the absolute best time ever! 🎸

🏆Nothing better on a cold winters day than UNO with friends, as always the Hanley House competition is brutal!!! Staff were schooled by Anthony, Shane and Katrina. House rules are always in effect and yes we stack draw fours on draw fours 😏

Sunday was a great day at the Mereweather Markets! What could be better than delicious food, fabulous company and some furry friends?!

We love creating opportunities for participants to build everyday living skills, confidence, and autonomy in ways that are meaningful to them. Moments like these are what Supported Independent Living is truly about. 👩‍🍳

Today, on International Nurses Day, we want to take a moment to celebrate not only the founder of modern nursing Florence Nightingale, but also the incredible force behind so much of what makes our service exceptional, our Clinical Nurse Manager Lauren. 💜

Since joining our team, she has completely transformed the clinical landscape of our organisation. Through her leadership, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to best practice, she has overhauled our clinical systems, processes and policies, and helped shape a service that is now recognised as a leader in supporting participants with high needs and clinically complex care. 🩺

Her impact reaches far beyond paperwork and procedures. She has built confidence within our teams, empowered staff through education and guidance, advocated fiercely for participant wellbeing, and created a culture where quality care is never compromised.

But beyond all of that, she is just a genuinely beautiful human. The kind of person who leads with compassion, supports without judgement, and somehow manages to make even the hardest days feel manageable. She is deeply respected, endlessly appreciated, and absolutely adored by our team.

In moments of chaos, she is calm. In moments of uncertainty, she is wisdom. Honestly… she’s basically our clinical Yoda. ✨

Thank you for the countless hours, the impossible standards you somehow continue to exceed, and the care and passion you pour into our service. The difference you have made is immeasurable, and we are so incredibly lucky to have you leading the way.
