Vale Vicki Padwick

It is with sadness that we share the passing of our much-loved colleague and friend, Vicki Padwick.

For the last 20 Years Vicki was the heart of the Australian Oztag office. Her dedication and commitment to our sport have left an immeasurable mark on Oztag and the countless people she supported along the way. Vicki was a familiar voice on the phone, a friendly face at our tournaments, and someone who always went above and beyond to help.

On behalf of everyone at Oztag, we extend our deepest condolences to Vicki’s family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time. Our thoughts are also with all of you who had the privilege of working alongside her and calling her a friend.

Today we remember Vicki. She built lifelong friendships throughout our Oztag family, and her loss will be felt across the entire community.

Rest in peace, Vicki. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Following an extremely disappointing incident on Monday night we MUST remind all our players that we WILL NOT TOLERATE DISSENTION OR ANY UNSPORTSMANLIKE BEHAVIOUR!
We ask that you all play in a sportsmanlike manner & respect our referees OR you may find yourselves side lined. We continue to aim toward stamping out this behaviour from both the playing field AND the sideline allowing everyone to enjoy our great game!

❌UNREGISTERED PLAYERS - There was also a team caught playing someone unregistered thanks to our new check in system where our staff were able to pick it up. Please DO NOT have anyone filling in as this is not only against our rules but unfair to other teams who are doing the right thing. Warning & loss of points for the 1st time caught, but for repeat offenders your team risks being removed from the competition with no refunds.

We appreciate your co-operation with both these warnings & realise that it is just a minority (not the majority) of our players that choose not to abide by our rules.😔

👏🙌Thanks to Daniel Suters for organising a few of the boys to brave a run against the U16s Aussie team today as part of their 3 day training camp here in Port as they prepare for World Cup in October. Really appreciate your time & hope you had some fun! Coach Zac & Kieron were very grateful to have you all involved! Still 2 more training runs tomorrow & Monday morning between 9am-12 if any other teams might like to organise a few players to have run against them? Contact Pam on 0417650776 if you might be keen.

🌦️OZTAG ROUND 6 NOW POSTPONED - Unfortunately following a further field assessment since more showers (& more to come), as at 3pm we have ZERO chance of playing on these grounds by 545 sorry! Same times/draw for next Mon 13th!
