π THANK YOU β WORKING BEE LEGENDS! π
A massive thank you to everyone who came down to Chittick Park on Friday and put in the hard yards. The place is looking an absolute treat and it's all because of you.
From cleaning the rooms, tidying up the shed, and giving the outside a general spruce up β every single bit of effort makes a difference. It's days like these that remind us what community cricket is all about.
To those who gave up their time β we see you, we appreciate you, and the club is better for it. π
Chittick Park is shaping up nicely for what's going to be a big 2026/27 season. Can't wait to get out there.

π SDCA JUNIOR ACADEMY β EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST π
Exciting news for our junior Maroons and any young cricketers in the district!
The Seymour District Cricket Association is exploring a free Junior Academy to give kids extra opportunities to develop their skills, build confidence, and fall in love with the game.
This is exactly the kind of initiative we love to see β more cricket, more development, more fun for our kids. It aligns perfectly with what we're building here at Seymour CC with our junior program.
The academy would be open to all ages and abilities β whether your child is brand new to cricket or already smashing it.
At this stage it's a proposal, and the SDCA needs to gauge interest to see if it gets off the ground. So if your child would be keen, get your name down!
π Register your interest here: https://form.jotform.com/262168511245050
The more juniors involved in cricket across the district, the better it is for everyone β especially our Maroons of the future!
Pride in our past, Focus on our future.
π Expressions of Interest β Proposed SDCA Junior Academy π
The Seymour District Cricket Association is exploring the possibility of launching a free Junior Academy to provide young cricketers with additional opportunities to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy the game.
The proposed academy would be open to junior players of all ages and abilities, with sessions designed to support everyone from those new to cricket through to more experienced players.
At this stage, this is a proposal only. We're seeking Expressions of Interest from players and their families to help us gauge demand and determine whether there's enough interest to make the academy a reality.
If your child would be keen to take part in a free SDCA Junior Academy, we'd love to hear from you!
Register your interest by completing the Expression of Interest form here: https://form.jotform.com/262168511245050

| Brett Gordon β Mr. Seymour Cricket Club π
Some players leave their mark on a club. Brett Gordon has left his fingerprints on every corner of ours.
𧀠One of the finest wicketkeepers to ever stand behind the stumps at Chittick Park, "Gordo" has been the heartbeat of the Maroons for well over a decade. But his contribution goes far beyond what he's done between the ropes.
Life Member. Former Club President. Premiership Player. Child Safety Officer. And now β your 2026/27 A Grade Captain.
Brett has given everything to this club β on the field, behind the bar, in the committee room, and everywhere in between. He's the bloke who turns up first and leaves last. The one who sets the standard without needing to say a word.
From a young keeper with a baby on his hip at Chittick Park, to leading the Maroons into a new era β Brett's journey IS the Seymour Cricket Club story.
As he takes the reins from Braidon Horkings (who led us to last season's Grand Final), the club couldn't be in safer hands. Literally. π§€
Congratulations Gordo. The Maroons are yours to lead again.
Pride in our past, Focus on our future.
