🏊🚴🏃 Meet returning NSW Triathlon Ambassador, Peta‑Maree Kearns from Maitland Triathlon Club

From discovering triathlon in a team event back in 2019 to conquering her first 70.3, Peta‑Maree set some great goals last season (and smashed them) whilst sharing her journey to encourage everyone else along the way.

This season she’s back - ready to support others, tackle local races, and chase her biggest goal yet: becoming an Ironman at Port Macquarie.

The countdown is on to the 2026 World Triathlon Age Group Triathlon World Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. With a total of 5,400 registered athletes from 100 countries this will be one of the biggest World Championships delivered by World Triathlon.

September is here, the weather is warming up, and club racing season is bursting back into life across NSW. Whether you’re shaking off winter, sharpening race skills, or reconnecting with your tri community, these early‑season races are the perfect way to get back into action.

We've done a quick wrap of club racing around the State this September 👇🏽

📅 6 September Panthers Triathlon Club
A fast and fun draft‑legal race to kick off the season or send you on the way to Worlds. Plus, as it's also Father’s Day it’s the perfect gift to get Dad started for the season!

📅 13 September Central Coast Triathlon Club (NSW, Aust)
A stunning lake swim paired with a technical bike and picturesque run course makes this a scenic favourite to enjoy the return to racing.

📅 20 September Illawarra Triathlon Club
Enjoy an open‑water swim, fast sweeping bike course, and stunning run views - a course that feels made for spring.

📅 26 September is the weekend it really feels like the season is back with three club races 🙌🏽

Panthers Triathlon Club return for double tri fun, keeping the early‑season momentum rolling.

Cronulla Triathlon Club has a pool swim, closed bike circuit, and fast run - ideal for juniors, newer athletes, and anyone wanting a supportive, controlled race environment.

Tweed Valley Triathletes kick off their season with their trademark welcoming, community‑driven vibe.
