🚨 UNDEFEATED SEASON ALERT (so far...) 🚨
What a way to kick off Game One! A massive win where literally everyone chipped in, and best of all, we actually played in the right spirit (who are we and what have we done with the real team? 😂).

Here’s the breakdown of the magic:

🏏 The Bowling Cartel: Huge shoutout to the seven-headed monster of Doc, Petrol, Brad, Pete, Chris, Sam, and PJ. Absolute masterclass with the ball today. Great to watch!

🔥 Play of the Day: Doc taking an absolute screamer of a Caught & Bowled! It’s a complete tragedy the Frogbox wasn’t rolling... guess it’s just an urban legend now. Pics or it didn't happen, Doc! 😜📹

💥 The Run Chase: We chased down the total WITHOUT LOSS! The opening partnership was flawless, featuring some absolute highlight-reel shots from Matt P and the other guy.

🥵 Nerves of Steel: Shoutout to Gordie, who sat fully padded up, absolutely sweating bullets over the terrifying prospect of having to go out and face one or two balls... only to not be needed at all. Sorry you didn't get to show your wares, mate. Keep those pads warm for next time! 🛡️😂

Awesome job, lads. See you all back on the park in two weeks, or at training if you can drag yourselves there! 🍻🏏💪

A new season brings new faces, familiar faces, and plenty of excitement as we look to build on what we achieved last season.

We’re incredibly proud of the group we’ve put together and can’t wait to see the boys representing Brooky out on the field this summer.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our 150 Years of Cricket at Brookfield celebration at the Showgrounds on Saturday!

It was a fantastic day, with wonderful support from the Brookfield and western suburbs community.

The club wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Premier David Crisafulli MP for attending and for the Queensland Government's $35,000 investment into Brookfield United for infrastructure and equipment upgrades, to ensure our club can thrive for generations to come. Thank you also Dr Christian Rowan MP and Cr Greg Adermann for your continued support, and to Tay from OpOz for the fantastic photos from the day.

Finally, a huge thanks to our Australian cricket legends for joining in the celebrations, including former Australian Test captain Allan Border AO, former Australian Test fast bowler Carl Rackemann OAM and former Australian Test batter Joe Burns.

ONE DAY TO GO!

What a final! Unfortunately Brookfield fell just five runs short of the Silent Assassins' score of 126, with the match going down to the second-last ball of the day. An excellent effort from the squad and our tireless organiser and captain David "Doc" Simpson to get us all the way to the grand final!
Congratulations to Silent Assassins on the win, some solid early-innings batting set them up for a good total that proved too much to chase.
Also a huge thank you to Warehouse Cricket Association QLD for the incredible photos. Looking forward to next winter!
