Regulated people regulate people.
Rested people restore people .
Calm people calm people.
Grounded people ground people.

Healing your nervous system heals more than just
you.

Bad days are not a sign you are not healing.
A healed nervous system is not one that lives in calm.

Calm is one state.
Beautiful, restorative but only one.
What you are building is something different.
Flexibility, the ability to move.

Think of it like a wave.
It rises, it crests, it falls.
It returns.
The wave isnt the problem , resisting it is.

The inner work isnt stopping the wave,
its building capacity to ride it.
Capacity to feel what is here.
Capacity to soften instead of brace.
Capacity to come back to yourself when it passes.

You are not meant to feel calm all the time.
You are meant to be able to come back,

Love,
Mounira

As my part of the world tumbles and burns i realise more than ever there is a need for clarity
in our lives,
in our work,
in our visions,
in our homes,
in our traditions,
and most importantly in our relationships.
More than ever, there is a need for balance, for depth, and for rituals to touch our daily lives.

Love,
Mounira

My career was not built in a day.
It was built with 2 hands and big clear dreams.
This book was released exactly yesterday 4 years ago.
Writting i have always loved.
Hence my first yoga project many years ago, where i used to teach in a very old squach center and read some of my poems at the end of my classes.
approached me and asked if id be interested in merging their art exhibitions with my poetry and yoga.
Teaching is a big love, so is writting but as i get older i know my work takes me only in one direction, and that is my pyschosomatic and trauma work.
This week ill share more of my work 🫶

Fake.
Recently i find social media very fake.

There is this deep urgent need to portray this perfect and very up to date lifestyle.
Which in reality doesnt exist.
The perfect highlight reel, the perfect body , the perfect kids, the
perfect relationships, the perfect modern lifestyle with kale and all forms of activities, the perfect diet, the perfect this and that and the list goes on.
But in reality this is not reality and you know it.
Higher rates of burnout and depression have been recorded than ever before and a deep loneliness rated as high in % as the rest.
Our little phones have created a little dent in our lives putting so much pressure on a generation seeking
perfectionism and more perfectionism.
Behind the scenes and screens i deal with the truth.
Sometimes a heart breaking truth.
The reality of society going through so much crossroads.
So no i dont like fake.
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Allways here for you🤍

May 16th.
Always a bitter sweet day.
The day my dad passed away and my mums birthday.

Happy Birthday Ahlam❤️❤️❤️
70 today.
To many many more years.
We love you so much.
You are our example of selflessness and keeping your family together.

We wanted to celebrate on thursday but you wanted today.
So today is your day.

Sunday reminders.

The extreme highs and lows.
The perfect life, the loving part of you, the engaged part of you...in between.
Then more highs and lows.
Resulting in you looking for yet another 'new' quick fix to 'fix' 'everything'.
A new fad.
A new form of therapy.
A new coach.
A new method.
A new this or that.
Never really dealing with the root.

Here, there is no magic.
There is no quick fix.
But there is peace.
And consistency.
and healing.

So,take yourself by the hand,
and give yourself a bit of what you need,
do this un apologetically,
with tenderness, slowness and care.

Love,
Mounira

Pain.
What a word.
What a concept.
What a thing to live with.
We all do..
Some with much more than others.
Our lives are defined by it in many ways.
What we do to avoid it, what we do in response to it,
what we do to manage it.
Approaching it so differently when we believe its physical to mental.

Im passoinate about my work in this space.
Assisting people to manage and process their pain,
coming to terms with diagnosis and ways to overcome.
Finding and creating opportunities for balance and relief.
Art therapy and somatic tracking are just some evidence based approaches i use to help others.
Reach out with questions🩷

Love,
Mounira

The world is talking so much about Lebanon.
But maybe not enough about its beauty.
