A three-day Summit is built long before the first basketball hits the floor.

It takes businesses willing to step forward, trust the vision, and help turn a new idea into something real for young people and their families.

Our Community Partners helped us strengthen the experience—from programming, meals and equipment to the many behind-the-scenes details that made the Pacific Youth Basketball & Wellness Summit possible.

Thank you to:

Westland Insurance — Westland Insurance
Tofino Gallery of Contemporary Art — Tofino Gallery of Contemporary Art
Sea W***h Naturals — seawenchnaturals
Pacific Sands Beach Resort — Pacific Sands Beach Resort
Cermaq BC — Cermaq British Columbia Ltd.

You didn’t simply support an event. You helped create three days where young people could learn, compete, connect and see new possibilities for themselves. We’re proud to have you as Community Partners.

This partnership is personal.

Long before the first youth walked into the Pacific Youth Basketball & Wellness Summit, I knew I wanted our coaches to wear something that represented more than a logo.

I wanted apparel created with purpose—apparel connected to identity, resilience, leadership and the belief that we are all capable of becoming more.

That is why I reached out to my friend Erica McLean, the Gitxsan woman behind SKANII Athletics — .erica.McLean

SKANII is an Indigenous- and woman-owned brand built from Erica’s story, her strength and her determination to show her children—and everyone watching—what is possible when you believe in your voice and keep moving forward.

Erica didn’t simply provide apparel for our coaching team. She travelled to Tofino with her mom and her son and became part of the Summit with us.

Three generations of one family came together to support an experience centred on youth, culture, wellness, mentorship and legacy. That meant something.

Our coaches wore SKANII while teaching, encouraging and building relationships with young people throughout the Summit. The quality of the apparel was exactly what we hoped for—but the story behind it was why this partnership truly belonged here.

Erica, thank you for being my friend, for believing in this vision and for bringing your family, your leadership and your heart into this experience.

We are incredibly proud to recognize SKANII Athletics as the Coaches Apparel & Leadership Partner of the Pacific Youth Basketball & Wellness Summit.

This wasn’t simply apparel.

It was purpose worn proudly.

Hamiyaa, my friend. 🧡

A summit may last three days—but it takes an entire community to make those three days possible.

These Friends of the Summit invested in more than an event. They helped create a place where youth from different communities and backgrounds could compete, connect, learn and see just how many people across our region are behind them.

Our sincere thanks to:

Blue Crush Vacation Rentals — Blue Crush | Tofino + Ucluelet Rentals + Management Creative SalmonTofino Bike Co. — Tofino Bike Co. Jen McLeod Photography — Jen McLeod Photography | Tofino Photographer Tofino Sea Kayaking — Tofino Sea Kayaking Heartwood Kitchen — Comfort food + Catering West Coast Shapes — WEST COAST SHAPES Long Beach Golf Course & Campground — Long Beach Golf Course Wickaninnish Inn — Wickaninnish Inn Tofino Resort + Marina — Tofino Resort + Marina Tofino Co-op — Tofino Co-op Hazelwood Construction Services

This is what community looks like on the coast: local organizations showing up for young people and helping an ambitious idea become something real.

ƛ̓eekoo—thank you for helping us build something youth will carry with them far beyond the Summit.

A heartfelt thank you to our Youth Wellness Partner, Tofino Breath and Meditation | Yoga in Tofino . đź’™

Laura joined us at the Pacific Youth Basketball & Wellness Summit to lead outdoor sessions that gave our youth space to slow down, breathe, reset and reconnect beneath the trees.

Wellness was an essential part of the summit experience—not an extra. These moments helped balance days filled with basketball, leadership and learning, reminding everyone that caring for the mind and body matters both on and off the court.

Thank you, Laura, for sharing your time, experience and calming presence with our youth. We are incredibly grateful that you were part of this experience. 🌿
