Another fantastic session with James & Jenna, the Pickleball Drill Masters!

We laughed, we learned, and at least a few of us had our pickleball worlds gently dismantled and rebuilt. 😂

Our session included: smart coaching, great humour, zero fluff and drills that actually translate into better play.

There’s something pretty special about a coaching couple who can challenge a group, make everyone better, and still have us laughing through it.

Thanks, James & Jenna. You keep raising our game, one slightly humbled pickleball player at a time. 😂🥒

It is with very sad hearts that we share the passing of our friend and fellow Armstrong Pickleball Club member, Lloyd Gairns, who passed away on Wednesday, September 23.

Lloyd was gentle, fun, funny, and an exceptional volunteer. He gave generously of his time and brought a wonderful sense of humour wherever he went.

Lloyd last joined us on the courts in May, showing up with that same contagious humour and warmth that made people smile. That is how so many of us will remember him: laughing, contributing, enjoying the people around him, and making our pickleball community better simply by being part of it.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lloyd’s family, friends, and all those who loved him.

We will miss you, Lloyd. Thank you for the laughter, the kindness, and for being such a wonderful part of our pickleball family. You left your mark here.

An important letter went out to everyone’s email today regarding ASPRD registration and the what’s/what. If you have not received this email, please let us know …you will need to get up to date. There are some important changes in how to register and information around play, etc.

🥒🏓 That’s a wrap on our second Seniors Pickleball session, and what a crew this has become!

Behind those paddles are athletes who showed up ready to learn, took some risks, laughed a LOT, built their confidence and skills, and can now hold their own in a match. 💪

Their coaches, Lisa, Robert, Leslie, and Jenn, couldn’t be more proud of the development of these athletes.

And the best part? They’re already raring to sign up for the fall sessions! ❤️

We’re missing a few of our crew in this photo, but they were a big part of the laughter, learning, and fun that made this session so special.

Brave. Spicy. Competitive. And officially pickleball players.

We were saddened to hear of Kevin’s passing.

Kevin joined Armstrong Pickleball Club as a member and quickly became known as a genuinely kind, friendly, and gracious person both on and off the court. He was a pleasure to play with and brought warmth to those around him.

Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to his wife, family, and all who knew and loved him.

Kevin will be remembered fondly by our pickleball community. 💙🏓

We have an important message regarding a significant change affecting the future of our club.

We mostly use this account for all things pickleball…But every once in a while, someone in our community is doing something that matters far beyond the baseline.

When one of our members is pouring their heart into a cause, fundraiser, awareness event, or community project, we want to help shine a little light on it.
