🤩Our team has been busy in Eugene the last couple of days preparing for another system test at the World Under 20 Championships.

🔜Everything is set for tomorrow for both the men’s and women’s 5,000m race walks!

‼️Remember, we’re testing the system under competition conditions, but NOT 🚫using the chips to judge.

📊We will be collecting data and use it to make improvements to protocols, if required.

✅More than 1️⃣6️⃣0️⃣ chips will be used, the most to date!

🛜We’re testing new chips that have a significantly stronger Bluetooth signal💪.

🛒We have plans to open pre-sales of new chips within the next couple of months!

🤗Thanks to the International Athletics Foundation and Fast Walker ™️| Miami Events for funding this vital research and development.

📢We’re excited to continue testing our race walk technology at the World U20 Championships!

💻Our system will be used during both the men’s and women’s 5,000m race walk events to collect data and evaluate system performance.

‼️As in Brasília, the system will not be used to make officiating decisions in Eugene. This testing is focused on reviewing our protocols and identifying opportunities to further improve the system.‼️

🔜The next generation of prototype chips are now in production, and we expect them to be ready in early September.

📧If you would like to be notified when pre-orders open, please send us a direct message or email. We’d be happy to keep you updated✅

A quick update on our testing of the RWECS chip.

04/20/2026

🚶🚶‍♀️The Race Walking Electronic Control System (RWECS) was tested during the women’s half-marathon at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships in Brasília on April 12.

👣During the event, more than 1️⃣ million steps were recorded as part of a large-scale data collection and system evaluation effort.

💻The data are currently being analysed for quality and consistency and compared against high-speed and high-resolution video captured during the race.

🧐The individual results will not be published. They will be combined and used internally to further improve the technology. Once the analysis is complete, a summary statement will be released.

🙏The research team thanks the athletes for their support and cooperation throughout the testing process.

👏It also welcomes the strong interest and discussion about the loss of contact threshold. The seminar held in Brasília the day before the test event, and the accompanying video published online, are part of the working group’s efforts to share information and encourage constructive feedback from all stakeholders.

📄Any proposals submitted to World Athletics will be based on careful research and detailed analysis of the data collected, along with ongoing communication and feedback from the race walking community.

📆The next test is scheduled for the World Under-20 Championships in Eugene this August.

‼️A pre-sale of prototype Race Walk Training Chips will be announced within the next month. More details will follow.
