A fun afternoon at the Petpeswick Yacht Club celebrating their 60th anniversary, and hearing stories of how the club was founded, great racing memories, and the continued positive impact the club has on the community. Congratulations PYC, here’s to 60 more years!

Wow! Congratulations Freida and Laura from the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron and Lunenburg Yacht Club for winning the 29er European Championship today! The team was coached by Chris Tully from RNSYS!

Good luck this weekend to the 9 sailors racing in the Sail Able Nova Scotia Maritime Cup Regatta at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron.

Congratulations to Tia Kinnear of Halifax and sailing with the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron and LOOT Opti Teams for capturing the Girls US National Opti Championships this weekend in New Jersey!
Will Keilty from Kingston, who has sailed with the RNSYS program since he was 11, captured the Boys title in the 319 (yes 319 Optis!) boat fleet!

Congratulations to the Cleve's Source for Sports July 2026 Impact Award Winner Lilly Rainham!

⛵️ Following a significant knee injury, Lilly had to spend ten months away from competitive sailing. Despite the physical and mental challenges of a lengthy recovery, she remained committed to her rehabilitation and worked tirelessly to return to competition.

Her perseverance was rewarded at the 2026 International Laser Class Association (ILCA) Canadian Championship in June, where she earned the silver medal in the ILCA 6 women’s division and the bronze medal overall.

A rainy and windy start, (but it’s going to get better) to the Lunenburg Yacht Club Sail Fest regatta this morning. 50+ sailors taking part from across the south shore!

Good luck to the 101+ sailors competing today and tomorrow in the Bamse Regatta at Dartmouth Yacht Club.
Competitors come from every Metro Club and Petpeswick Yacht Club and St Margaret Sailing Club. (did we miss a club?).
