Celebrating another amazing opportunity for one of our DBDC dancers! Meet our newest Shock Ambassador, Taya Tucker!🤩

Taya was both excited and surprised to be selected, especially with so many incredible dancers from across Canada applying to be part of this collective!✨

Taya loves Shock Dance Competition and especially appreciates their focus on supporting and uplifting other dancers, with the belief that we are dancing with other dancers, not against them.🤍

She’s so excited to connect with the other ambassadors, build new friendships, and help dancers feel seen, supported, and celebrated throughout the season!🙌

We are so proud of you, Taya, and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you do as a Shock Ambassador!💚

We’re back with our second dancer shoutout of Season 12!✨ Today, we’re celebrating Harlow Conrad, Lina Guzman & Taya Tucker and an exciting opportunity they were selected for!

A huge congratulations to the girls on being selected for Abby vs. Cathy: Hit the 8!🤩 Hit the 8 is a TV dance battle show that brings together talented dancers and gives them the opportunity to showcase their skills, step outside their comfort zones, and take on an exciting new challenge!

For Harlow, applying was a big step outside of her comfort zone. She decided to take her shot, and getting accepted was a huge accomplishment! Although she wasn’t able to attend Season 1, she’s excited for another opportunity to come along and knows she’ll be ready to take her shot again.🙌

Lina was thrilled and incredibly proud to be selected for this opportunity. Being chosen meant so much to her and was a wonderful recognition of the hard work, dedication, and love for dance that she continues to put forward.🤍

Taya was especially excited for this opportunity after having the chance to train with Abby at the Dance World Cup in Spain in 2025. Although scheduling conflicts meant she had to turn down her Season 1 invitation, she’ll be there for Season 2! She’s so excited to meet new dancers and compete for Abby and Cathy.🥳

We are SO proud of you, girls! We can’t wait to see where this opportunity takes you next!🎉

As we kick off Season 12, we have a few special dancer shoutouts to make!✨ Keep an eye out as we celebrate some of the amazing opportunities and accomplishments our dancers had over the summer!

Our dancers Stella Coleman and Wren Grace had an unforgettable week at the Elevate Intensive at Canadian Dance Company in Oakville!💜

After earning this incredible scholarship opportunity, the girls spent the week training with an amazing faculty of industry professionals, learning new skills, challenging themselves, and making so many new friends along the way!

They represented DBDC with enthusiasm, respect and kindness throughout the entire week, and we are so proud to hear how much they grew as dancers and how much they came to appreciate the opportunity they had earned.🙌

We can’t wait to see everything Stella and Wren learned and brought home with them! We are so proud of you both!🥳
