I’m not here to cause drama or hop on a bandwagon but after days of reflection, I do feel called to share a bit about my experience and how I think we can all as leaders, do better in our lives and businesses (including me). My family just received a diagnosis and I’ve been digesting everything post event so I wanted to make sure I had something of value to share before just chiming in for the hell of it. I love you guys and I hope this helps someone, somewhere. I’m grateful for parts and pieces of the event and the epic humans I got to meet and simultaneously disappointed with certain elements as well. I’m proud of the way I handled my slides not working on stage and my ability to stay cool and still deliver value to the epic audience. I’m taking away so many lessons from this and I’m excited to build a world where we can hold the weight of our mission and stay dangerously relaxed as we do so, CB

You’re a f*cking LEGEND at what you do. You’re at top of your game… a mission-led woman with a MASSIVE ass heart.. ANDDDDD you might still be feeling tired AF, depleted at the end of the day and a lil crispy fried chicken 🍗 from over delivering, over committing and not listening to the lil inner voice whispering “there is a different way to do this”. For years my “success” was EXPENSIVE. It came at the cost of missing bath times + bedtime stories with my kids.. sacred morning coffee chats + evening snuggles with my partner.. “sorry ill be right back babe.. 27min later I return after I’ve responded to 12 emails and 4 “urgent DM’s”. it meant missed family events and spending “vacations” buried with my head in my phone trying to read and approve launch copy or glued to a 2 hr zoom call to try not to p**s off a client in fear they would leave me if I had boundaries. It meant pushing my girls on the swings and “playing with them as the park” while trying to get back to a telegram message.. their little voices “mom come play with me.. get off your phone”. F*ck it hurts even writing this, but I have deep compassion for my survival self who built multiple businesses on a cocktail pure adrenaline, cortisol, PTSD and “I’ll show them”.
