Had a great time in Alliston at the Irish Pub Spiel with Sharen Cain (York CC), Sherrill Knight (Alliston/York CC), Beth Carter (Midland CC), and Charlene Ley (Orillia CC) secured 3rd place in the 2nd draw.

Abby’s Media Arts teacher at Patrick Fogarty asked if she’d be interested in creating a short YouTube video about her passion for curling. This is the video:

Congratulations to Don Ruggles and Evan MacRae on a 6 Ender in the Doubles Bonspiel held yesterday at the Orillia Curling Club

Competitive curling requires a lot of things - commitment, passion, dedication and heart, just to name a few. We had all of those this weekend, finishing the round robin 4-1 , but losing in the semis and then in the bronze medal game put us out of medal contention.

This one may sting a bit, but our commitment, passion, dedication and heart remain the same.

Thanks to our Coach- this venue was a cold one out there, and he stuck it out with us, with some extra layers on. Without his time and commitment to us we wouldn’t be able to do what we love.

Thanks to the “extra” family and friends that came out to watch our games this weekend - your support truly means a lot.

The City of Orillia was a great host for these Ontario Winter Games and we give thanks to them, the officials, volunteers and staff who also put their time in to make an event like this successful.
A shout out to the Bayside restaurant at the club as well - their food and service was top notch and all the meals we had were great.

We head home now to rest up, get healthy, and have a short little break before U20 provincials at the beginning of March.

Congratulations are extended to team Peterson for their silver medal win at the Ontario Senior Winter Games 65+ Division. Brian Peterson, Rhonda Thanasse, Gary Molnar and Charlene Ley provided outstanding representation for Orillia.

A big congratulations on an 8 ender at the All Ontario Farmers Bonspiel, the first time it's happened in 39 years!
