Sometimes the best way to connect with kids… is to let your own inner kid out too. 💙🫧

At George Jeffrey Children’s Centre, our staff know that therapy, learning, and growth can also include laughter, play, and a little bit of fun along the way.

May is Speech and Hearing Month — a time to raise awareness about the importance of communication and the impact it has on every child’s ability to learn, connect, and thrive.
We recognize and celebrate our dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists and Communication Disorders Assistants, who support children and families through speech, language, and communication services each and every day. Their work helps children find their voices, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Together, let’s continue to support inclusive communication for all. 🧡

With May being Physiotherapy month, we recognize the important role physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants (PTAs) play in helping children and families build strength, confidence, mobility, and independence every day. From supporting developmental milestones, to encouraging active participation in play, school, and community, physiotherapists and PTAs make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children they serve.

Thank you to our physiotherapists and PTAs for your dedication, compassion, and commitment to helping kids reach their full potential! 💙💪

George Jeffrey Children’s Centre continues to grow alongside the needs of children, youth, families, and staff in our community.

Opened in December 2025, our Red River Road location is home to our Behavioural Support Services team and provides additional treatment rooms for clients across programs. The space also includes a boardroom for community trainings and workshops, creating more opportunities for learning, collaboration, and connection.

For families, this location offers more choice and convenience, with the option to select either Brock Street or Red River Road for in-centre therapy sessions. It also gives clinicians and staff a helpful touch down space while working in the community on the north side of town.

As we celebrate 65 years of possibility, this new space is another example of how George Jeffrey Children’s Centre continues to evolve, expand, and meet families where they are.

Looking back, together 💙 Michelle and her boys have spent years walking these halls, moments filled with growth, challenges, and so many milestones along the way.

Coming back now brings it all into perspective… how far they’ve come, and how much those early supports shaped their journey.

It’s more than memories... it’s a reminder of what’s possible with the right care, at the right time, surrounded by people who truly support you.

65 years of possibility, seen through the eyes of families.
