KithnKin PWDs Breeder of Portuguese Water Dogs As a small-scale home-based breeder, my focus is on producing medium-sized dogs that excel in various dog sports.

I prioritize health, temperament, and athleticism in my breeding program to ensure that my puppies not only thrive in competitive environments but also make excellent family companions. The Portuguese Water Dog is renowned for its versatility and intelligence, enabling it to excel in agility, obedience, and other dog sports. My breeding practices are centered on responsible and ethical standards, including genetic testing and careful selection of both dam and sire. I ensure the puppies are well-socialized from an early age, introducing them to different environments, people, and experiences to build their confidence and adaptability. Each puppy is raised in a loving home environment, where they receive the attention and training needed to prepare them for their future homes. I also provide potential buyers with guidance on training and sports participation, so they can enjoy a fulfilling experience with their new companion. By focusing on quality over quantity, I aim to contribute to the breed’s excellence in sports while ensuring that each dog is a healthy, happy member of a family. Went for a walk this morning at the local dog park (had it to ourselves) and of course the dogs found water 💦

Needless to say towels and drying chamois are plentiful in all my my home and vehicle

This is what a typical weekend looks like for the dogs and I!

Yesterday we drove from Truro to Sydney, back to Stellarton to compete in an Obedience trial and cheer on Dutton in conformation, then back to Truro. (Approx 580 kms)

Today we drove to Elmsdale for scent classes, back to Stellarton to cheer on Dutton and back home again. (Approx 240 kms)

Tomorrow we will drive from Truro to New Salem for a visit with my parents. (Approx 140 kms)
