If youโre bloated, itโs really easy to assume the answer is hiding in your diet.
You start thinkingโฆ
โMaybe itโs dairy.โ
โMaybe itโs gluten.โ
โMaybe I need to cut out more FODMAPs.โ
โMaybe I should stop eating ___.โ
Before you know it, your list of โsafeโ foods is getting smaller and smaller, while your bloating is still there ๐คฐ
โ๏ธ Bloating doesnโt automatically mean you need to eliminate another food.
Sometimes, the more helpful question isnโt โWhat should I take out?โ
๐ Itโs: โWhat might be missing from my foundation?โ
๐ Are you eating enough?
๐ Are you eating consistently?
๐ Are your meals balanced?
๐ Are you giving yourself enough time to actually digest?
๐ Whatโs going on with your sleep, stress, movement and bowel habits?
And perhaps most importantlyโฆ
๐ Has trying to fix your gut started to make your life smaller?
I donโt want you to spend the next year making your diet more and more restrictive in the hope that THIS will finally be the thing that fixes your bloating.
I want you to understand your body, build a supportive foundation, and feel confident around food again.
๐ซถ Before you eliminate another food, take a step back and ask yourself the 7 questions in this post.
๐ท Save this for the next time you find yourself wondering, โWhat should I cut out next?โ
