On August 1st, get ready for a drag takeover of Crag X!

Calling all drag and burlesque performers: we want our community to show us what they’re made of and to help us celebrate the overlap of queerness and climbing!

Apply to perform with us at Drag X this year. We are so excited to see what you’ve in store for us!

Happy Father's Day out there to all the daddy climbers!

To show appreciation for the father figures in your lives, we're happy to invite them to the gym to climb for FREE from Sunday the 21st until Saturday the 27th.

All week, for free, no day pass purchase necessary. Rentals not included.

Over the years, we've amassed a substantial hoard of Milwaukee batteries used for all of our settings needs. We want to see if there are any other proud power tool users like us out there, so we invite you to send us a photo of your Milwaukee batteries and show off your collection. Not a Milwaukee fan? That's fine: take photos of your Makita or DeWalt batteries with the hashtag and and know we're judging you—but not enough to not let you participate. Home Depot battery users, on the other hand, need not apply.

If you earn your paycheque on the tools like we do, send us a photo of your Milwaukee batteries and we'll give you a chance to try our work. Anyone with ten or more wins a Beginner Lesson for four this summer so you can bring all your power tool wielding buddies down to Crag X to put that grip strength to proper use. That's $290 worth of instruction, and you get a 2-week mini membership too! Tag us in your photos and try to put a little artistic flair into them. Deadline to enter and book your lesson is AUGUST 31.

Start your weekend off right and join Harrison at Saturday Morning Climbing Club from 8AM to 10AM for a special FREE session and Gear Inspection workshop! Bring your climbing kit and inspection questions down to the gym to make sure all is in working order before heading out for the outdoor season.

Here's the itinerary for the session:

8:10 - 8:45 Gear inspection clinic
8:45 - 9:00 Warm-up
9:00 - 9:30 Warm-up climb/partner swap
9:30 - 10:00 Studio work out/stretch

Directed by Czech filmmaker Honza Považan and produced by Victoria-based Grace Gorman along with Denisa Krásná and Alena Rainsberry, Flow follows women in sports such as whitewater kayaking, climbing, and highlining. Rock Talk Returns for 2026!

This climbing season, we invite you to share your outdoor adventures with us. We’re seeking anything from epic stories at popular crags to tales of discovery at lesser known locales, or even embarrassing incidents of times when not all went to plan. We invite you to consider: what did this experience teach you, and why do you want to share it with the world? Rock Talk is an opportunity for us to learn from other climbers' outdoor escapades and we want the community to be at the centre of it.

Submissions are open from July 18th to August 2nd. If your story is selected, we will contact you with further details before the event kicks off in September! Visit cragx.ca/rocktalk2026 to submit.
