Certified Personal Trainer | Nutritionist | Strength & Conditioning Coach | Group Fitness Instructor

Hi! I’m Lisa! I wanted to create a little post here to explain briefly, who I am, and what I do!
Just over one year ago, I got certified as a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, group exercise instructor, and nutritionist.
Getting to where I am now was a bit of a wild ride when it comes to my relationship with food and exercise. I wasn’t always an active person, aside from going for walks and bike rides. I really didn’t exercise much at all, I found it extremely daunting and didn’t enjoy it what so ever. Exercise was a punishment for eating too many calories 😔

I found myself latching onto ridiculous diet trends, exercise trends that didn’t stick and was focused in an unhealthy way on being as small as possible. I was exhausted all the time and felt like 💩

It wasn’t until a few years ago, that my relationship with food, exercise, and my body began to heal. I started to see what my body could accomplish when fuelled properly and when my mind was able to push me that extra distance (mental fortitude is HUGE) Mixed with strength training, this gave me a really good sense of what healthy looks like for me. Now I eat to fuel my body for workouts that I plan, so I can get strong and healthy!!
Confidence is a 10/10 now (most days, I’m still human) Being able to say that I love my body is huge! Coming from a place where all I did was pick it apart, big steps. I talk to myself now, the way I would speak to a friend. Game changer. Try it.

I became a personal trainer so that I could help other people repair their relationships with the same things, and begin to view their body and their relationship with food and exercise in a healthy and strong way, for a lifetime. Not just 30 days.

If you’ve ever thought about hiring a personal trainer for one-on-one training, send me a message with any questions you have. I’d love to help guide you! P.s. this is my doggie nephew, not my own 🐶 🙃 09/02/2024

Ladies! If you’re not strength training, it’s time to start! Especially if you’re looking to age well. Strength training on a regular basis is one of the best anti-aging methods out there (aside from a good SPF and lots of water 😉) it’s actual science. 🧬 yet many women still don’t do it on a regular basis.

Here are a few other ways to stay healthy and age well:
•prioritize protein (min 100g/day average of complete proteins)
•limit alcohol intake
•get 7-8 hours of sleep per night
•eat a variety of foods daily!
•drink plenty of water (2-3 litres per day)
•stay active

Not sure where to start? Send me a message! I’m taking online clients only at this time.

Do you strength train a few times a week? 05/03/2024

👏 amazing!!!! Getting out there and doing it because you want to and you feel awesome afterwards!

I went for my second run last night in a very long time. Pre-kids possibly!

Did I go fast? No.

Did I take my time and enjoy myself? Absolutely!

It’s not a race and I’m so glad I went! Thank you Lisa Reutcky Coaching for pushing me to get back out there ☺️

I may not be a pro yet but I do have a very helpful tip for those considering running; your choice in underwear can make or break the run!😅

Diets, drinks, shreds, what ever you want to call it. None are going to be sustainable long term.
Women have been targeted by companies for decades to buy shakes and quick fix weight loss programs, creating a whole lot of women that have negative relationships with food and exercise.
One time I did a 30 day weight loss program (I was the same weight I am now) 8 months after having my son and posted before and after photos of myself in a bra for the world to see. I look back on that often and feel so much shame but honestly, I fell into the trap that I needed to eat 1200 calories a day and workout every single day to lose weight or get toned. 🤦🏻‍♀️ all I did was lose 6 pounds, feel tired and want some cookies. The program ended and guess what, back to usual programming. Can you see how this can create a problem? I was afraid of carbs and fat for a while after that. sheesh.
The point of my story is, we need to stop comparing ourselves to these influencers online getting paid to look a certain way and sell you their products, we need to go back to the boring basics.
Move your body in ways that works for you and can be sustained for the rest of your life. Eat a nutritious and balanced diet that includes all the food groups but learn ways to do this that works for you. Not some cookie cutter program for the masses. If you need help or guidance with this, send me a message. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
So go back to the basics, boring basics. That’s what will give you the results you want, it likely won’t happen in 4 weeks but let me tell you, a lifetime of balance and a healthy relationship with movement and nutrition will change the rest of your life. ♥️
