Established in honour of Bruce Russell’s lasting impact on WMBA, this award recognizes a coach who leads with heart, commitment, and a true love for the game.

Bruce believed in teaching the fundamentals, encouraging every player, and creating a positive experience. Values this award continues to celebrate today.

WMBA Referee of the Year 🏀
This award recognizes a WMBA official who leads with professionalism, fairness, and confidence on the court.

From strong communication to sound judgment and deep rule knowledge, this award recognizes the referees who consistently foster a safe, respectful, and positive game environment for all.

WMBA’s Spring Skills Development Program is here! 🏀

This 9-week program focuses on building confidence, improving fundamentals, and strengthening gameplay in a fun, supportive environment led by experienced coaches, including current university athletes.

• Limited spots (20/group)

Cost:
• $95 for currently registered WMBA players
• $125 for non-WMBA players

The WMBA Foundation is awarding 2 scholarships (up to $500 each) to graduating players, referees, coaches, and leaders who have made an impact in our basketball community.
