I thought I needed to push harder.
As a former professional dancer, I learned to ignore pain, perform on stage when I was sick 🤒 and keep going no matter what.
So when anxiety showed up, I treated it the same way.
More effort.
More discipline.
More intensity.
Until it stopped working.
What changed everything wasn’t a stronger practice.
It was a practice that listened.
Yoga therapy taught me that anxiety isn’t always something to fight. Sometimes it’s a message from the body asking for safety, rest and support.
Through breathwork and mindful movement, I stopped trying to outrun anxiety and started understanding it.
Your body isn’t the problem.
