What an amazing end to the most fantastic arena season! We have seen some absolutely superb polo this winter, and our end of season was no different. Our grooms opened the billing showing us that not only can they ride and turn ponies out to the highest possible standards, they can play too! Congratulations to Steep Slope Farm coming out on top thanks to some excellent goals from Annie Colborne. Next up we had the Royal Artillery Development Squad vs Tedworth Park Academy. Congratulations to the Royal Artillery on their win. Military polo and coaching is one of the foundations of Tedworth Park Polo Club, who are part of the Armed Forces Equine Charity.
The highlight of the day was the Strategic Armed Forces Equine Charity Team Chukka, sponsored by .polo and supported by . All the players in this game are veterans who have faced their own struggles. run a Veterans Active Recovery Programme using polo as part of the recovery pathway. We were honoured to have been able to collaborate with and to introduce more veterans to this wonderful sport. Congratulations to the SAFECT team on their win.
Our final game was a 6 goal exhibition match between the Follie Fillies and Cortina Colts. It was fast and furious, there were huge 2 points goals scored by both teams, end to end excitement and a buzzing atmosphere in the viewing gallery. It came down to the wire but after 4 furious chukkas the Cortina Colts couldnโt hold on to their lead and the Follie Fillies finished the final chukka on top.
Many thanks to all our members and supporters for making our end of season such a memorable day. We are taking a little break in March and will be back in April ready for the Summer Season. We canโt wait to see you there!
