These are just some of the words we use to keep women and girls in their place. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been called several of them. And I’m sure I’ll hear plenty more as I continue my journey through womanhood, before I’m expected to become invisible.”

Things I am very much enjoying as I get older:
Pottering about
Looking out of the window (with optional sighing)
Doing the NYT word games daily (1. Wordle, 2. Connections, 3. Strands)
Jigsaw puzzles
Having a favourite coffee cup
Lecturing people younger than me about skincare and wearing SPF
Saying “I saw that at the cinema you know” about films like, for example, Point Break

The pole world woke up this morning to the sad news that we had lost the incomparable Jamilla Deville.

Jamilla was an icon and a pioneer of our industry. Without her the pole world simply would not exist in the way it does.

I am so grateful that I got to learn from Jamilla and share time with her.

We will be honouring Jamilla at the studio this week.
