Not really sure where to start with this morning's game at Woodview. It ended 1-1 but we aren't sure how.

Today was not something we've seen in the girls form of the game in 9 years but never-the-less we saw it all, and maybe the 'professional' game is to blame.

The girls started brightly and went into an early lead through Kara (sponsored by National Fenestration Awards) but the rest of the game was dogged by breakages in play. The visitors equalised midway through the second half, but still the chances to win the game were Poggy's but it wasn't to be.

Parents girl of the game was Hannah (sponsored by ) for a real gutsy performance at the back, with the Coaches Award going to Sophia ( ) for a committed and energetic game in midfield.

We would like to welcome back Clearview Magazine and Berrys Opticians as individual player sponsors for the second successive year.

Berry's, based in Silkstone, sponsored Niamh last season and we are delighted to have them back with Niamh for this season.

Whilst this is Clearview's second season with us, they will this season be sponsoring new signing Mia.

Thank you to both organisations for supporting the girls in this way - we all really appreciate it.

The goals flowed yesterday at Woodview with a 6 - 0 thumping of Dronfield. The scoreline was harsh on the visitors who played some good football, but a solid defence and a ruthless attack won the day for Poggy.

Kara (sponsored by National Fenestration Awards ) scored 4, with Niamh (sponsored by Berrys Opticians) and Isabel (sponsored by Bottle & Co ) scoring the others, the latter bagging her 3rd of the season.

Kara and Hannah (sponsored by ) took the girl of the game awards.

Game day tomorrow, come down to Woodview and support the girls against Dronfield. It'll be another tough game as we are down to a squad of 11.

A trip to Dronfield isn't what you want when you're down to the bare bones, as the girls travelled with just 11 players. However, a really spirited and gritty performance brought a 4-2 win for the girls in pink. With no subs and at least 4 of the girls on the pitch carrying injuries we needed 100% concentration and effort and we certainly got that.

Kara (sponsored by National Fenestration Awards) caused the home defence all sorts of problems and hit a hat-trick, also being voted Parents Girl of the game.

Lola (sponsored by Handle Trade LTD ) bagged her first of the season with a really neat turn and finish midway through the second half.

Grace (sponsored by Rose And Ivy Media - Wedding Photo & Video) was the Coaches' pick for girl of the game, for an all round top performance, both in midfield and as an emergency right back In the second half.
