There are many options for support in the wider Bath community. On nights out, many places, including the Plug and Tub on campus, provide anti-spiking drink covers, which you can ask for free of charge at the bar. Additionally, the ‘Ask for Angela’ scheme is recognised across Bath if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe on a night out.
The Bath Safe Taxi scheme is also a great option for getting home after a night out, with options to repay later in a pinch.
The Bath Safe Bus is located on Orange Grove, outside the Abbey, and is a safe hub on nights out where support can be accessed.
If anything does happen to you, you can use the University’s Support and Report tool or SafeZone app to get help and support.
Ultimately, we want BUPA and Bath as a whole to be a safe space for everyone! This is a precautionary post and not meant to cause fear or anxiety about your time here at university.
Bath is consistently ranked as a very safe city, and we as a committee hold ourselves to the highest standard of safeguarding.
