It was the end of an era tonight, as we held a leaving party for coaches Chloe and Ella, who are heading off to university. Both have been with the club since the early days, first as gymnasts, then as coaches. In true Verve style, we played gymnastics games, ate cake and ended with a giant game of hide and seek. We’re super proud of them both and wish them the best of luck for their university days 🍀 🤸🏻🤸🏾 🎓

🩶🤍🖤 WHAT. A. TEAM! 🖤🤍🩶

This evening we brought all our coaches and trainee coaches together for some training ahead of the new gymnastics year, and what a brilliant evening it was!

It was fantastic to see everyone learning together, sharing ideas and getting stuck into everything from club values and safeguarding, to spotting and preps and most importantly, what makes a great gymnastics coach.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated team who care so much about our gymnasts and about making our club the best it can be. Now we can’t wait to put all our learning into action when we welcome our gymnasts back next week! 🤸‍♀️🤸🏾🤸🏻

Today we’re thinking back to our Club Celebration Competition in July. More than 100 gymnasts completed routines to gain Bronze, Silver and Gold medal scores. Medals, challenge and fun for everyone! We are hugely proud of coach Ryan, who successfully completed and passed the British Gymnastics Foundation Limitless Residential at Lilleshall National Sports Centre last week. Today we’re rewinding the clock to the Adult British Championships in June…

The ‘Verve Collective’ not only enabled our own gymnasts to compete, but we also adopted gymnasts without a club or coach into our team, so they could take part too!

There were some brilliant performances, including Silver in WAG 18+ and Gold in Tumble for Rowanne and Gold in Tumble for Beckie which also helped the team to an overall Silver medal.

We showed up with 4 coaches, from across the disciplines, supporting a number of gymnasts from other clubs. Big thanks to Catarina, Isabel and Sarah for doing this.

Finally, as a community outreach club, we provided sweets and refreshments for EVERYONE at the venue, as a pick-you-up when energy levels were flagging. And perhaps most importantly, a great time was had by us all!

It’s been such a busy time the past month, we’ve not had much chance to upload the excitement!

So starting with the National Micro-Teams Competiton in June…

A huge congratulations to our Junior Mixed Team, who came 6th in the UK, competing against teams from all the home nations 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The dedication, enthusiasm and hard-work put in by them all was second to none and we are incredibly proud they were our first club team to compete at such a high level. They performed their ‘best runs ever’ on the day and put the club firmly on the map! Kaitlin also competed with Harlequin Gym Club, putting out a brilliant performance on the day, despite some injury challenges in the run up. She helped her team to a brilliant Silver medal 🥈

And finally, to our fan club who were the absolute definition of team-spirit, turning out in force and cheering all the competitors on from the audience. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of supporters - you truly embodied what the club represents 🖤🤍🩶

It’s the big-one this weekend - The National Micro-Team Championships in Crewe for our Youth Mixed Level 3 TeamGym team. They’ve worked so hard and whatever the result we’ll all be super proud of them.
