Back home from Round 4 of the BRCA Large Scale Off Road National Championship at Pickering RC, racing my VRmodelsport Phoenix. Having just landed back in the UK late on Friday night after spending a week in Germany with work, we arrived in Yorkshire and I was able to get in 15 minutes of open practice before qualifying begun.
Q1 went well, Q2 the tiredness had kicked in ... but I was fresh the next day with a good run in Q3. Good job its your best 2 out of 3 to count! This qualified me in P4 on the grid in the A Main.
The track is deceptively challenging and with it being a very competitive final, I found myself battling for position throughout the full 30 minutes of the race. I finished this race in P4 and I'm pleased with this result!
Thanks to the volunteers who took the time to get the track ready for this weekend and also running a smooth event! 😎🏁
