We’re really excited to open our new 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 - 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

If you’ve been waiting for a daytime option… this is it.

We’re starting with:

4:00pm — Solo Jazz

These classes are relaxed and beginner-friendly, with a focus on 𝗿𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺, 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰.

You’ll learn simple steps, build confidence, and enjoy moving in a low-pressure, social setting.

As tomorrow marks the first anniversary of Our Social Space transitioning into Dance Addiction as our community venue, it felt like the right time to share something special.

𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲 is the first of two short films created with our dance community as part of the NI Now Project. Filmed in 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺, it tells the story of a curious lost sole who stumbles into a lively Cotton Club-style gathering and discovers a welcoming world of rhythm, connection and social dancing.

This film was brought to life by our 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, with an imaginative story written by 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗲 and creative direction from 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸. It captures the creativity, humour and sense of belonging that are such an important part of Our Social Space.

We’re proud to share this film as part of our contribution to the Northern Ireland Digital Archives, with a second short film to follow soon.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 “𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗽” 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝗬𝗮𝗿𝗱 💪🌱
3 tonnes of compost shovelled, raised beds filled, flowers and herbs planted, apple tree boxes built, whiskey barrels topped up - and our tee-pee is now standing proud, ready for French beans to climb.
Who needs a gym when you’ve got compost?

Studio 2 is home to our Our Social Space community programmes - welcoming classes and events designed to help people connect, move and belong.

We’re absolutely delighted to share that our brand-new studio mirrors have now been installed... and they look fantastic!

These mirrors complete the transformation of Our Speakeasy, creating a more welcoming, supportive space for everyone who joins us to learn, move, and connect. They’ll make a huge difference to our community dancers’ development across Swing, Jazz, Blues, solo styles, and our wellbeing-focused programmes.

A huge thank you to Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Department for Communities, whose support through the Small Capital Grant Programme made this upgrade possible. 🙏
