We had a great afternoon promoting the boys and girls youth and mini sections down at CS Lewis Square. Thanks to EastSide Learning for inviting us to take part.
Malone Rugby Football Club was founded in 1892 by residents of Malone Park, Belfast.
From this beginning, with thirteen playing and a dozen non-playing members, the Club has grown to one of the largest and most successful Clubs in Irish Rugby. After two successive Junior League wins, the Club was granted Senior status in 1896 and played its first game at this level against Collegians, losing, but acquitting themselves very well for a newly promoted club. Malone Rfc are saddened to learn of the death of our member Graham Orr, who passed away on Sunday our sincere condolences go to his wife, daughter, son and family circle at this sad time.
Malone Rugby Club would like to express our condolences to the family of ex player Jim (Jimmy) Wright who sadly passed away this week.
Funeral details a celebration of Jim's life will be held on Wednesday 10th June at 10-30am in Woodvale Methodist Church, Cambrai Street followed by committal at 1pm at Roselawn Cemetery.
