LESS SPACE. LESS TIME. MORE DECISIONS.

During October and November, Sparta Belfast is inviting a limited number of U17, U18, U19, senior and senior development squads to take part in friendly futsal fixtures.

With smaller spaces, faster transitions and more frequent involvement, futsal challenges players to think quickly, make confident decisions and respond under pressure. It offers coaches a fresh way to assess their squad and help players develop technically and tactically.

Whether your team is new to futsal or looking for a different test, we’ll provide a short introduction to the format before the fixture begins.

Yesterday brought a brilliant afternoon of fast, competitive futsal at the Futsal Super Series! ⚽🔥

Plenty of skill, goals and non-stop action on show as Linfield Girls, ACFC, Larne FC and Sparta battled it out across the afternoon. đź‘Ź

Yesterday saw the team step back on the court for the first time since Athens, as preparations continue for the new NI Futsal Federation season which starts next month!

Sparta Seniors are back in action! Following a short break after a hard-fought UEFA Futsal Champions League campaign, the squad are ready to get back to work.

We travel to Dublin to face St. Itas Futsal, one of the AUL’s leading futsal clubs. Thank you to St. Itas for welcoming us to Donabate — we’re looking forward to the game.

đź”´âš« SIX SPARTA PLAYERS CALLED UP FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

Congratulations to our six players selected for Northern Ireland’s FIFA Futsal World Cup Main Round qualifier away to Bosnia and Herzegovina on 15th October:

Nathan Best
Ryan McMenemy
Lee McMenemy
Josh Lowry

The six make up half of the 12-player squad—a strong reflection of the standard being set at Sparta and the contribution our players continue to make at international level.

Congratulations also to our U17 goalkeeper Ethan Kennedy, who was invited to take part in last weekend’s national team training camp in Belfast—another encouraging indication of the depth developing through our academy pathway.

A proud moment for everyone at the club.❤️🖤

🔴⚫ FUTSAL FRIENDLY: 2014–15s HOST MOSSLEY FC

A brilliant evening of futsal for our 2014–15s in an invitational fixture against Mossley Football Club at Shankill LC.

With a series of short games two evenly matched sides produced entertaining contests with plenty of goals, fast feet and great futsal on display.

Credit to the Mossley Football Club players for how quickly they began to understand the game and adapt to the demands of futsal. We hope to see more of you on a futsal court!

It was great to welcome a new team to futsal and give the players the chance to experience its benefits—including more touches, quicker decisions and plenty of 1v1 situations.

Thank you to European City of Sport and Belfast City Council for supporting these invitational fixtures and helping us create more opportunities for young players.

We have a specific requirement for one goalkeeper to join our 2014–15 Sparta Belfast Academy squad.

Futsal is a brilliant way to sharpen your goalkeeping skills, with more shots, more 1v1 situations, quicker decisions and plenty of opportunities to play with the ball at your feet.
