We have amazing news🥳

The National Lottery Community Fund is going to be funding some of our activities over the next few months. We are so so happy!

Our Resilient project for 16 to 30yr olds is therefore going to start on Wednesday 7th October, registration is now open.

We cover topics including mindfulness, self care, budgeting, cooking and employability skills all in a caring and supportive space at Birkenhead Salvation Army just by the Asda.

We're thrilled to invite you to a FREE hands-on creative session for adults on Tuesday, 8th October, from 5 - 7pm at the beautiful Bentinck Street Community Garden in Birkenhead (CH41 4DY).

Together, we'll explore how art and creativity in nature can inspire and support our health and well-being. No artistic experience is needed - just bring yourself and a willingness to get creative outdoors in a welcoming, supportive space! 🎨🍂

Geoff will be with us every Wednesday from 10am–3pm, offering practical advice, guidance, support and a friendly conversation about whatever is on your mind.

- Thanks to National Lottery players, Cool Wirral Thriving Communities has received £1,578,021.46 over three years from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK. The project aims to transform the way underrepresented communities engage with climate action across Wirral, addressing their needs and barriers through a combination of community-led projects.

Grouping initiatives in four priority areas; food, energy, nature, and wellbeing, the project aims to deliver a range of support, empower disadvantaged residents to lead healthier lives, manage living costs, and strengthen social ties. Wirral Council will lead a partnership which includes Faiths4Change, Wirral Environmental Network, Grow Wellbeing, St Vincent Centre, Energise Cycles, Energy Project Plus, Compost Works, and Wirral Forest Wellbeing.

This comes from the Climate Action Fund, a long-term commitment to support communities across the UK to act on climate change and involve more people in positive environmental action. -
