⚽ Looking for a new team?

Bartley Reds U14 Girls are looking to add a few more players in Years 8 & 9 to the squad.

We’re looking for girls who enjoy their football, want to improve and would like be part of a positive, competitive team.

We train twice a week on 4G:

📍 Newman University
Monday 6-7pm
Friday 7-8pm

⚽ Matches on Saturdays
Home games at Shenley Academy 4G

Our focus is on helping players improve, understand the game, make better decisions and enjoy being part of the team.

Football development is about more than what a player does with the ball.

At Bartley Reds Girls, one of the things we’re trying to do is look at the whole player, across four connected areas:

⚽ Technical & Tactical
Can she develop her skills, recognise different pictures and make good decisions?

💪 Physical
Can she move well, develop strength and resilience and cope with the demands of training and matches?

🧠 Psychological
Can she stay composed, respond to setbacks and gradually take more responsibility?

🤝 Social
Can she communicate, work with teammates, lead when the opportunity is there and contribute to the group?

We don’t see those areas as completely separate.

-Confidence can affect decision-making.
-Communication can improve team understanding.
-Physical development can influence both performance and confidence.

And every player will develop differently.

That’s why, alongside helping the girls become better footballers, we’re trying to create an environment that helps them become more confident, resilient and responsible players too.

We’ve always been clear with parents about what we want Bartley Reds Girls FC to stand for.

Development first. Performance second. Winning third.

That doesn’t mean we don’t care about results. We prepare properly, we compete hard and we always play to win.

What it does mean is this: one scoreline should never come before a player’s welfare, their long-term development, fair opportunity, or the standards we set as a programme.

As coaches, our job is to create a safe but ambitious environment where every girl is supported, challenged and expected to contribute.

We currently have a limited number of places available in our u14 girls’ programme.
