**Remembering Len Seal**
It is with great sadness that we remember Len Seal, who sadly passed away following his battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Len was a well-known and much-loved member of our local community, a keen runner and hillwalker, and a great supporter of Blairgowrie Rugby Club. He had close links with the club for many years, including helping organise the Relay for Life fundraising events held at JJ Coupar Park in 2013 and 2014.
Len’s own battle with MND also inspired some fantastic fundraising within our rugby family. He was a special guest for our **“Take a Seat for Doddie”** project, where he helped us launch a unique chair made from rugby shirts worn during the career of the late Doddie Weir. Upholstered by Jayne Strachan, the chair raised £1,600 for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Len’s family also generously donated a rare 1972 bottle of wh**ky for a special raffle at our Blairgowrie Rugby & Ale Festival, raising hundreds of pounds to support the club and the fight against MND.
Len clearly made a lasting impression on many people, and it is fantastic to see his family continuing to raise money and awareness in his memory.
This Sunday, Len’s daughter **Jessica** and son **Howard** are running the Loch Ness Marathon in his memory. Then, on Tuesday 29th September, Howard will run **54 laps of JJ Coupar Park** as it's Howard's 54th birthday and another tribute to his father.
