⛳️ SENIORS INVITATION 2026 ⛳️

What a fantastic day we had at Bognor Regis Golf Club for our 2026 Seniors Invitation! ☀️🏌️‍♂️

A brilliant field of 68 players joined us on a glorious September day, with members welcoming guests from golf clubs across Sussex and beyond.

The day got underway with a full breakfast before Seniors Captain Peter Kay started the 9.30am sh***un. Some excellent golf followed, with plenty of good-natured competition and, most importantly, a great atmosphere around the course.

After play, everyone returned to the clubhouse for a well-earned carvery and cheesecake, followed by the prize presentation.

🌿 A Huge Thank You to Our Greenkeeping Team! ⛳️

It’s been a very busy Maintenance Week at Bognor Regis Golf Club, and we’d like to say a massive thank you to our greenkeeping team for all their hard work. 👏

After an exceptionally dry and challenging summer, this year’s maintenance has been particularly important in helping the course recover and preparing it for the autumn and winter months.

The team have been working across the course, including:
🌱 Verti-cutting, solid tining and hollow-coring the greens
⛳ Heavy sand dressing, overseeding and drag-matting
🌿 Scarifying and treating the tees and aprons
🚜 Overseeding the fairways, concentrating on areas affected by the prolonged dry weather
♻️ Reusing cores from the greens to improve low-lying areas around the course
There’s a huge amount of work involved, much of which happens behind the scenes. While Maintenance Week can mean a little short-term disruption, the work being done now is vital to improving grass coverage, drainage, firmness and the overall quality of our playing surfaces throughout the year.
A big thank you also to our members and visitors for your patience while the work is carried out. 💚
Most importantly, thank you to our greenkeeping team for the long hours, tireless graft and care they put into looking after our course. 👏⛳️

🏆 Finals Day 2026 at Bognor Regis Golf Club 🏆

What a fantastic day of competitive golf, with some brilliant matches and plenty of drama across the Club Championships and knockout finals.

In the Ladies Club Championship, Heather Tidy beat Nicki Vincent in the first semi-final, while Chloe Briance beat Caroline Pilbeam in the second.
That set up a final between Heather and Chloe, with Chloe Briance coming through to become our 2026 Ladies Club Champion.
This is Chloe’s 10th Ladies Club Championship title. A fantastic achievement.

In the Men’s Club Championship, Andy Brown beat Harry Isham in the first semi-final, while Oliver Turnill beat James Maclean in the second.
Andy then beat Oliver in the final to become our 2026 Men’s Club Champion.
This is also Andy’s 8th Men’s Club Championship title.

There were plenty of other winners on the day too:

• Men’s Riseborough Final: Mark Oughton beat Hayden Poole
• Men’s Vicliff Final: Jason Wickham beat Stanley Riseborough
• Men’s Seniors KO Final: Keith Cowley beat Grahame Laker
• Men’s Summer Fourball Final: Tim Cashman & Paul Moores beat Andy Cooke & Billy Rayner

A huge congratulations to all of our champions and finalists, and thank you to everyone who played, supported and helped make Finals Day such a great occasion.

Today is one of the biggest days in our club calendar as our Finals Day 2026 gets underway.

We have a brilliant line-up of matches across the Men’s and Ladies’ Club Championships, Riseborough, Vicliff, Seniors KO and Summer Fourball competitions, with some fantastic matchplay ahead throughout the morning.
