Hi everyone, I’m Lou from Pilates with Lou, a small mat Pilates studio based in Westbourne, Bournemouth.

I offer calm, supportive Pilates sessions for people who prefer a more personal approach - including small group classes, 1:1 and 2:1 sessions.

The studio is intentionally small and welcoming, with small group sessions limited to a maximum of 3 people, so there’s plenty of time for guidance, questions and moving at your own pace.

Pilates may suit you if you’re looking to build strength, improve posture, move more freely, or simply take a bit of time for yourself each week.

For June, I’m offering a limited number of gentle taster sessions for anyone local who would like to try Pilates in a calm, supportive setting.

A gentle movement for spinal mobility…

Cat/Cow is one of my favourite exercises to introduce into Pilates practice.

It encourages movement through the spine, helps build awareness of posture and breath and can feel incredibly relieving after long periods of sitting or tension.

Simple.
Gentle.
Effective.
