What actually happens in Baby Mum Fun Time?
It's not just a workout.
We work on the foundations of postnatal recovery:
Core strength
Breathing and core control
Pelvic floor function
Posture
Mobility
Whole-body strength
Confidence in movement
And because every mum and every recovery journey is different, I offer different levels and adaptations throughout the class.
Some mums may be returning to exercise after having their first baby.
Others may already have completed one or two terms with me and are ready for more progression.
They all exercise together.
That's one of the things I love about the class.
Baby Mum Fun Time starts this Thursday, 10 September.

One of the things I love about my classes is that mums don't all have to be at the same stage.
Some mums join me at the beginning of their postnatal recovery.
Others stay for a second or even third term and are ready for more challenge.
They can all exercise together because I demonstrate different levels and adaptations.
So you don't need to worry about being “behind” or not being fit enough.
You simply work at the level that's right for you and progress from there.
And of course, your baby is welcome too. Sometimes they sleep, sometimes they play, sometimes they need you. That's part of Baby Mum Fun Time.

Are you waiting for...
“...my baby to sleep better before I start exercising?”
“...my body to feel stronger before I join a class?”
“...life to become less chaotic?”
“...the right time?”
I completely understand.
But life with a baby rarely becomes perfectly predictable.
That's why Baby Mum Fun Time is designed around real mum life.
Your baby can come with you.
They might need feeding.
They might need cuddling.
They might cry.
And that's OK.
You don't have to wait for the perfect circumstances to start looking after yourself.

Six weeks after birth doesn't automatically mean you're fully recovered.
Being cleared to exercise is an important milestone, but it doesn't mean your body has suddenly returned to how it was before pregnancy.
Your core may still feel weak.
Your pelvic floor may need attention.
Your posture and breathing may have changed.
You may not feel confident with certain movements yet.
And that's OK.
Postnatal recovery is a process.
The aim isn't to rush back to your old workouts. It's to gradually rebuild the strength, control and confidence your body needs now.
This is what I focus on in Baby Mum Fun Time.

You don't need to get your old body back.
Your body has carried a baby, given birth and adapted to a completely different way of living.
Postnatal recovery isn't about punishing your body until it looks like it did before pregnancy.
It's about rebuilding strength.
Feeling more stable.
Moving with confidence.
Being able to lift, carry, bend, walk and exercise without constantly wondering whether you're doing something wrong.
That's what I want to help mums achieve.

Every mum's recovery is different.
For some, it's about feeling stronger through their core.
For others, it's getting their confidence back and feeling comfortable in their body again.
And sometimes it's simply wanting to feel like you're making progress.
I'm curious: what's the one thing you'd most like to improve after having your baby?
Vote on the poll and let me know.

Postnatal recovery can feel confusing because there is so much advice telling you what you should or shouldn't be doing.
My approach is much simpler:
Understand where your body is now.
Start at an appropriate level.
Build strength gradually.
Adapt when needed.
And keep progressing.
You don't need to rush your recovery, but you also don't need to ignore it.
