News from Gail Whetter: ‘Ann and Vicki Partington’s Highfox Hunky Dory and Lottie took a win in the junior ridden which is amazing as she is only 10 and hadn’t sat on him since last September. He also picked up his open Scone ticket with me’ at BSPS Scotland. Well done to all connections. A nice start to 2026. Photo is one from last year.

Would you like the opportunity to accompany the HOYS Price Family Supreme In Hand with gold Olympic medallist Mr Carl Hester MBE during our Wednesday evening performance at our Summer Championships?
This competition is a fantastic way to learn more about the judging process, expand your knowledge, and gain valuable insight into what happens in the centre of the ring. It could even be a stepping stone towards applying for the full judges’ panel in the future or simply a fun and rewarding experience.
Each NPS Area can enter teams for either the M&M or Riding Pony sections, as well as individual competitors.

NPS Area 4, 1st Open Youngstock, 1st Home Produced Large Breeds (lacking competition apparently!) However (against nice competition) also Reserve Champion Open M&M, Reserve Champion M&M Home Produced, Reserve Overall M&M In Hand/Silver Medal, Reserve Supreme in Hand, (British Isles qualifier?). Philippa’s first solo outing with Highfox Heritage (Zac) could have been worse🙂 With thanks to Jo and Archie for moral support.

Today has been such a lovely day out. We took Heaven Sent to try her second ever ridden class and she tried so hard again, very confident (didn’t even react to exuberant Welsh cobs), forward, correct bend, correct canter leads and as happy as they come. She is such a genuine pony, looking forward to seeing her make more progress over summer (when it arrives!). PS need to say a big ‘thank you’, as Em was beautifully and tactfully shown by Philippa.

Congratulations to Harper Hibbs, 1st jumping section, placed in the ridden and in hand sections, overall Novice Champion and overall Junior Champion NNFPSG 2025, with Highfox Felicity. Highfox Heritage was 1st in the youngstock section, handler Philippa Hadwen. Highfox Hunky Dory placed ridden, jumping and in hand (rider Gail Whetter, owner Vikki Partington). Well done to everyone who took part.
