So, about last weekend...

Club overseas Nic Tindall broke a whole club record by scoring a majestic 207* in the 1st XI's win over Midsommer Norton.

🌟 The clubs first 1st XI double century
🌟 Highest 1st XI score since Steve Leonard's 193 set in 2003

Not only an incredible player, but an even better bloke.

Batted, Tindo 🔥

Strap in for the 'Big Game Experience' as we dust off the projector for England v Norway later on. The Bar Staff have stocked up on Cheddar Valley to help warm up those vocal chords 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Late post acknowledging last week's results for our senior section.

2 wins from 4 ✅❌❌✅

Match reports 👇

The 1st XI edged an absolute thriller against Pak Bs by 4 runs, putting us right in the race for promotion. Ben Scott anchored the innings with an important 40 coming in at 3. Nic Tindall did most of the damage with the ball taking 4-27 (9), before Christian Leggatt bowled a nerveless final over to close out the win.

The 2nd XI had an afternoon of chasing leather as Knowle racked up an eye watering 333-8 from their 40. Young Louix Birkinshaw took regular wickets to finish with 4-59 (8). The Hatts brothers both bowled well, Ben finishing with 2-49 (8) and Oliver 0-20 (5). In reply we were always behind the rate, but kept things interesting by blazing his first league hundred. We ran out of steam and were bowled out for 241.

The 3rd XI's miserable form continues. It was a decent first half restricting Whitchurch to 192-7 mainly thanks to Khalid Boota's figures of 4-31 (7). Our target always seemed just out of reach, despite the best efforts of opener Adil who cracked 93 including 13 boundaries. No one else could stay with him as we were bundled out for 161, 31 runs short.

The winning machine that is the 4th XI powers on. Shuban Shabir returning remarkable figures of 3-7 (4) to help restrict Carsons to 132-9 (30). The Stapes did it at a canter 1 down, opener Tom Allen breaking the back of the chase with a rapid 51 (retired n.o) from 33 deliveries.

Huge well done to all those who pulled on the badge. 🇱🇻
