The 1st XI put in a decent all round performance to see off a determined Golden Hill, winning a scorcher by 126 runs

The 2nd XI lost against Golden Hill 4ths in a tight encounter, didn't quite have enough runs on the board to defend.

A very similar story played out with the 3rd XI against Carsons & Mangotsfield.

The 4th XI won against Tamil Nadu.

Here's your Men (and Women) in Maroon for this weekend, which is set to be scorchio ☀️

The 1st XI are welcomed home with open arms after being on the road for two consecutive weeks. They entertain Golden Hill Cricket Club in Bristol's Best Beer Garden ™️

The 2nd XI hit the road, travelling to Golden Hill looking to march onwards after their good start to the season.

The 3rd XI play Carsons & Mangotsfield in at Coombe Di**le, which I'm reliably informed is in BS9.

The 4th XI are waiting on a few confirmations so no team sheet yet unfortunately, but they are playing Tamil Nadu at Oldbury Court. Let's hope the Ice Cream Van makes an appearance 🍦

The 1st XI return home to Sleepy Hollow after back to back away fixtures. We welcome Golden Hill Cricket Club to our patch, 13.00 start.

The 2nd XI hit the road, against Golden Hill's 4th XI.

The 3rd XI entertain Carsons & Mangotsfield at Coombe Di**le in

The 4th XI head to Vassels Park to play Tamil Nadu CC in the 30 over league.

RESULTS 🇱🇻

It was a mixed bunch of results for the Stapes over the weekend, with two league wins out of four.

The 1st XI were stuck in down at Portishead, and navigated some pretty awful weather conditions to set a challenging total thanks to decent knocks by Nic (44) and Babar (50). After coming off for rain, our total was adjusted, offering the opposition a chase of 195 from 26 overs. The boys defended it well in the field, with wickets shared around.

The 2nd XI continued their strong start to the season by dismissing Bath for an under par 149, thanks largely to a decent spell of leg spin bowling from big Will M. The 2s chased down 150 for the loss of 3 wickets, with Adil (47) and Josh Coombes (34) breaking the back of the chase

The 3rd XI lost a low scoring thriller down at Saltford. We had a great first half, bowling out Saltford Fairway for 118 (Imran A with 4-21). Despite some big hitting by Imran again (53) no one could quite stick with him and we lost by a miserly 16 runs

The 4th XI came up against a very strong Bishopston 4th XI. Despite a 50 for Abu, our score of 119-9 (30) was chased down at a canter by Bish, who did it none down in the 19th over.
