Heads up - dogs are still not allowed at The Lake due to rock temperatures (can vouch it was hot yesterday underfoot as even mini coach Rhea who runs around barefoot everywhere needed to keep her shoes on!)

Due to the continued hot weather, we are enforcing a total 𝐍𝐎 𝐃𝐎𝐆𝐒 𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐄 policy effective immediately until further notice.

What many people continue to fail to understand is that in a quarry the stone absorbs the heat and radiates back out into the air increasing the air temperature by 5 - 15 degrees Celsius. In addition to this, as you can see on the table below, the ground temperature is significantly increased due to the heat and 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 injure your dog.

As people are still missing the social media posts and several signs throughout the site (including two very clear signs on the gate as you access) we have also made some amendments to our website to ensure it is crystal clear.

🚫 𝐍𝐨 𝐃𝐨𝐠𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝: Please do not bring your pets with you. The quarry stone becomes scorching hot and will burn their paws.

🚗 𝐍𝐨 𝐃𝐨𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐬: Under no circumstances can dogs be left in vehicles while you are swimming, diving, or paddleboarding.

⚠️ 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: This policy includes all assistance and support dogs which although we appreciate may be difficult for some, the dog's welfare must take precedent.

What a beautiful day & sunset . 1-2-1 session, followed by the first of our Breaststroke to Frontcrawl Workshops then finishing up with FinFit. John will be well and truly shattered when he arrives home!

Personal side note - thank you to fin_fit_ & BrizFit / brizfit_bootcamps for my training and tolerating my mad scheme ideas (having been accepted for the deadly dozen team finals in September as well as first at nationals this year was not on my bingo card!)
