✨Common Questions I Get Asked!✨
It is completely normal to want to know what to expect and know what you’re buying. I get a lot of questions and never is a question too silly, ridiculous or “stupid”!
So here are some of the most asked questions!
1. Is there an age limit for children?
A: No! There never has been and never will be. I believe all women should be able to access fitness and exercise without having to find or even pay for childcare.
2. Can I bring my older child?
A: Of course. All children are welcome and so are siblings especially during school holidays. I do limit the number of 1-2 year olds due to health and safety but so far I’ve not had to do this 🤞🏼
3. What do I bring with me?
A: You do not have to worry about anything like mats, weights etc. all of this is provided. All you need to bring is a drink for yourself, anything you may need such as a snack and anything the little one will need (bottles, nappies, wipes, milk, snacks etc)
4. Can I do the classes pregnant?
A: Yes you can. Unfortunately due to numbers getting quiet, Bump Fitness hasn’t quite made a comeback yet but I keep my classes small enough to adjust and adapt to each individual Mama and this includes pregnant Mama’s. The only class I may say no to is Bootcamp. But that be decided in a private discussion.
5. What do I do if baby needs to be changed or fed?
A: You change or feed them. We will try our best to wait so you don’t miss too much but you feed and change baby when they need it and there will be enough space to do so.
6. I’m nervous about my first class!
A: I’m not going to say don’t be because it’s easier said than done. But I try my best to accommodate all Mama’s and try to allow everyone to mingle with others. We have such a lovely group and I always find Mama’s support one another 😍

✨We Are Always Learning!✨
We don’t just get a qualification and be done with it. The gym industry changes so often and so quickly that we have to try and keep up with latest trends.
In the 5 years I have been in the industry you have had:

🧡 CrossFit went nuts
🩵 Pregnant women should strength train
🧡 HYROX became huge
🩵 Bungee fitness classes
🧡 Reformer Pilates
And soo much more…
I am not going to learn all of them as I would suffer major burn out. But I will always research and continue to learn in the areas that means I can help mama’s the most.
I am always trying to find ways to improve my classes, my services and better myself as a coach, a business owner, admin, accountant and everything else.
Next time a business such as myself asks for honest feedback or even a review, please spend that time to give it to them. It helps them become a better version of themselves and to identify areas that need improvement and also the stuff that works 🫶🏽

✨The Easier The Better!✨
No one wants to be slaving away at the stove or oven cooking a dinner for around an hour when the heat is this unbearable. So here are some of our easy go to meals that the 5 of us will eat (we all know Eli won’t 😜)!

🩵 Good old precooked chicken with picky bits
Make life that little bit easier and if the kids have 3 ice lols per day, then so be it. It’s not often we have heatwaves this crazy 🤪

✨My Reality!✨
I have always been open and honest and I will continue to be like no matter how much I’m uncomfortable with my own weight at times.
I am on 3 lots of meds that can affect appetite and water retention. It doesn’t cause weight gain but it is a side effect of an increased appetite.
Everybody reacts differently to medication so i am only speaking on what is common research, people I know or myself.
My first one is the hormone contraceptive pill 🙄 if you’ve been on this you just know, the majority of women will have a tiny bit of weight gain due to not having the hormone fluctuations and sometimes feeling that little bit happier and comfortable.
Next I am on Propanalol 😈 I call it the devil pill. It has caused so many issues within my body such as water retention causing swollen legs, I have such a low heart rate being on 160mg daily that nurses panic that I’m about to go into cardiac arrest and it can drop as low as 41 🙈, it causes chest pain and palpitations plus quite severe muscle fatigue whenever I do exercise.
Lastly we have my arch nemesis, Diamox also known as acetazolamide. This is a diuretic which stops the body sweating but produces extra heat, causes nausea, dizziness, extreme fatigue, muscular fatigue, aphasia, appetite suppressant and extreme pins and needles and I mean in the knees, shoulders, face, head, feet, hands, ankles. It’s everywhere!! ☠️
So yes my body fluctuates and being a woman also throws in what it needs to as well, but atm whilst I’m trying to navigate my body, meds and weight loss. It means I will go up and I will come down, however it’ll be very rare that increases are due to fat but more water, inflammation etc.
This is also a reminder that our bodies fluctuate to do what it needs to do and that it doesn’t mean you’re failing, it’s adjusting and maybe just carrying a tad more water from a salty meal the night before. You’ve got this and keep going 💪🏽

✨A Mini Workout!✨
As a parent life can be crazy, but being a stay at home parent or a working parent just adds to the chaos and we never put ourselves first. Those tiny little fingers and toes will always be our top priority.
But what if I told you, you can give yourself a 10 minute workout and the kids can either join in or you can do it whilst they are occupied?
This is a no equipment version and you can do things at separate times.
You can either get little one to join in or you can hold them whilst doing the exercise!
🧡 20 squats
🩵 15 glute bridges (place them on your pelvis)
🧡 30 seconds star jumps
🩵 10 Baby shoulder presses (the heavier the baby the harder it’ll be 😜)
🧡 15 Baby bicep curls
You can repeat this as many times as you like and if you are unable to do something like squats at the time, do them whilst you’re stirring the dinner or waiting for the kettle to boil. Baby asleep and want to do shoulder press, get 2 water bottles and use these as a weight.
It’s never impossible, we just have to adapt and transform more as a Mama 🤱🏼
