In the first of their two-game weekend, the Kodiaks hosted Coventry. A strong start from the visitors saw them take a 2β0 lead in the opening period, and they carried that momentum into the second, adding a third before the Kodiaks responded. Rachel Coleman and Nat Piotrowicz combined well to set up the goal and get the Kodiaks on the scoresheet. Despite battling hard throughout, the Kodiaks were unable to capitalise on their chances, while Coventry proved clinical in front of goal, taking an 8β1 victory.
The second game of the weekend saw the Kodiaks face Milton Keynes. It was the Kodiaks who opened the scoring, with Nat Piotrowicz and Tallulah Green linking up to set up Scarlett Shelton. Milton Keynes responded on the power play to level the game, but the determined Kodiaks struck back through captain Sophie Heather, who fired home an unassisted goal.
Heading into the final period with everything still to play for, both teams battled hard in an entertaining contest. Milton Keynes eventually came away with a 4β2 win, but it was a valiant effort from the Kodiaks throughout.

The Kodiaks travelled to Bristol to face the Huskies, with an exciting contest in prospect.
A closely contested first period saw both teams evenly matched, heading into the break level. In the second period, however, the Huskies capitalised on their opportunities to build a four-goal lead going into the final frame. The Kodiaks battled hard and maintained pressure throughout the third period but were unable to find the net. The Huskies added one more goal before the final buzzer, securing a 5β0 victory.
Next up, the Kodiaks return home for a double-header weekend. They face Coventry Phoenix on 2nd May, followed by the Milton Keynes Falcons on 3rd May. Both games face off at 18:00 at Planet Ice Peterborough.
