We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Imran Sherwani. Our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and all whose lives he touched.

He wasn’t only, in my opinion, the best player ever to grace the pitch for Great Britain, Imran was the perfect example of how to be the ultimate warrior whilst being the perfect gentleman. He was so welcoming to me when I broke into the squad and has always been at the centre of my thoughts when I try and inspire young players to be their best.

After sharing his diagnosis, Imran inspired widespread support and fundraising for Alzheimer’s Research UK. His former teammates and sons ran the London Marathon in his honour, raising tens of thousands for dementia research.

At Class Hockey we honour him. Rest in peace, Imran your spirit will continue to inspire the hockey community for years to come. Love Nick and family

Our October half-term camp was a really special few days, with players of all ages developing their skills, supporting one another, and enjoying time together on the pitch. It was wonderful to see the progress, confidence, and teamwork that grew across the group. We were delighted to welcome current England and GB International KC as a a special treat!

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We are now looking ahead to the next opportunity to come together — booking is open for our Christmas Camp. 🎄🏑

From an early age, it is vitally important that we teach and encourage our players to strengthen and use their bodies as fully as possible as they grow. With this in mind, we include a MULTI-SPORTS element to our camps. The players enjoy a variety of ball based activities alongside their hockey; variety is the spice of life at this age.

Fun and enjoyment are a central thread running through all that we do: Competitive drills; skills competitions, and team challenges keep the children engaged throughout and each is laced with Class joie de vivre!

The combination of small group sizes and our experienced team of coaches ensure a fantastic week of sport and exercise (and guarantee that they return home happily exhausted).

We’ve had a fantastic start to 2025! Despite the frosty weather, we enjoyed two days filled with technical training, match play, and an insight into what it looks and feels like to be a great teammate.

The tournament was as competitive as always, and we enjoyed rewarding those teams and players who’d had a particularly great camp. There were also some lovely moments of kindness throughout, which we really valued.

A huge thank you to and for delivering some fantastic small-group work and valuable ‘off-pitch’ sessions.

Wishing everyone a wonderful start to the new year and looking forward to seeing you at the February Half Term (17th & 18th).

This is a special one…

Meg attended our first Class Hockey camps over 20 years ago. She was a smiley, polite, adorable 8 year old with a unique determination on the hockey pitch. She and her lovely brother Tom, rarely missed a school holiday without being with us. It was only natural for Meg to join the coaching team when she was too old to attend as a player and she has been with us ever since.

Meg played and captained England at each junior age group and was in the EDP programme for several years. But she also spent 4 years out of the system. Meg’s dedication, commitment, resilience and work ethic to get back in, are simply remarkable. To achieve her first senior International caps in China last week and scoring her first goal could not be more deserved.

To watch her develop over many years has been a privilege. But what has always made her stand out, from the day we met her, was her caring and thoughtful personality. She aways thinks of others. We are incredibly happy Meg has achieved a childhood dream of hers but we also couldn’t be more proud that she is godparent to our youngest son, Fin.

It’s been great working on various aspects of our physical performance during our Sunday sessions. Focusing on body conditioning, speed, agility, and hockey skills has been both fun and valuable.

These sessions are designed to work our systems as a whole, enhancing performance across all sports and helping to reduce the risk of injury.

It’s been fantastic seeing children of all age groups embrace the new challenges. 💪🏻

An incredibly rewarding couple of days packed with technical drills, match play, and skill-building workshops.

Jamma brought an extra dimension, diving into the mental side of the game and highlighting the powerful impact that psych work can have on performance.

We wrapped up with an exciting tournament, complete with prizes and well-deserved rewards.

A huge thank you to our players, families, our fantastic coaching team and to Jamma especially!

We are delighted that we have sessions targeted specifically at our elite/academy players this coming October Half Term.

We are fully aware of the physical and mental demands placed on you and, as we have done previously, we will be tailoring what we have to offer with this in mind.

Current England/Great Britain and Olympian James Gall (Jamma) will be with us once again and supporting you both on and off the field.

Jamma is a remarkable individual. Both his approach and outlook to life have undoubtedly contributed to not only his remarkable recovery from a life-threatening injury but also his ability to compete successfully in elite sport. He is fascinating to talk to and credits his sports psychologist with much of his metamorphosis from a rather irascible (but ambitious) teenager to a composed, calm, young man. Jamma will deliver some off-pitch workshops, alongside technical on-pitch training.

School years 9-13

To attend is by invitation only, please contact us for further information.
