🎯 Shooting added to the new GCSE Physical Education and Health Qualification in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This is a significant step forward for our sport, creating new opportunities for young shooters and helping raise awareness of Olympic target shooting in schools across Wales.

📢 We encourage all clubs, coaches and volunteers to share this news with their members and local schools. The more awareness we create now, the more opportunities there could be for pupils to choose shooting as part of their education.

A great Competitor!

🏆 Athlete Spotlight | Alun Evans 🏆

We're delighted to welcome British and Welsh Para Athlete Alun Evans back to the Para Sport Championships this year.

"I’ve really enjoyed competing at Welsh Shooting events over the years, and I’m looking forward to being part of the Para Sport Championships again this year.

What I really like about these events is how inclusive they are. It’s great to have the opportunity to compete alongside other para-athletes of all levels from beginners to Paralympians, as well as non-disabled athletes, all taking part in the same sport and sharing the same competition environment. It's a great chance to learn and get advice from those who have similar needs to really enjoy and improve.

Events like this are really important for giving para-athletes the opportunity to compete, meet other athletes who many have become good friends over the years and just enjoy the sport. It’s always a great atmosphere, and I’m looking forward to another weekend of competition in Swansea.”

The Para Sport Championships continue to provide opportunities for athletes of all abilities to compete, connect, learn from one another, and be part of an inclusive sporting community.

We look forward to seeing Alun and athletes from across Wales and beyond in Swansea for another fantastic weekend of competition.

Hey! We're back for the autumn and winter, after a stop and start summer. Shooting practice in Pistol and R***e, coaching and advice, competition preparation. Beginners welcome.
Every Friday we will be in the Fitness Suite, 2nd floor,
Sports Centre Wales on Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.
