MAD SUNDAY MONTHLY PISTOL HFT LEAGUE RESULTS.

It looked like so much fun, that I'm gonna get up in the loft and drag a pistol out.
I reckon the people using 20 quid guns have got their work cut out against Greg's £2000 gun, but my hopes are high!

With no rain (as always) and a warm Spring breeze, what wasn't there to enjoy today?

Well, the rubbish scores for one!

Despite this setback, everyone seemed in pretty good spirits, with plenty of banter to be had.

Big well done to Lars Kennedy, who came in with silver place on his first ever HFT comp, only pipped at the post by his big brother, Bo. Top bombing. 💪

The pistol HFT is currently under way. Loads of excuses and complaints, so going exactly to plan. 😍

Don't forget it's the first round of our pistol HFT league tomorrow. Kick off after the rifle shoot finishes.
This is new to us, so we'll suck it and see.
30 shot course, with normal hft scores, stolen golden sausage dog badges for the winners, no classes, everyone in together, pistol needs to be at arms length, no cuddling (the pistol that is, you're welcome to grope one another).
Emphasis is on fun and frolics and we'll run it as a league if there's any interest.

MAD SUNDAY MONTHLY HFT SHOOT 03-05-2026

Don't forget that it's the MAD Sunday Monthly this weekend, with your chance to shoot a refurbished version of the Southern Hunters course. We are famed for our high quality courses, that are regularly changed, however, this month the course layout remains similar to last month due to the carpet of bluebells that must be protected. Please bear with us during this highly purple time.

The weather forecast is for near tropical conditions and of course, NO WIND.
We'll be in the woodland of tranquility, where every shot is a guaranteed 2 points.
We've put every target in the most sheltered place possible, and massive 40mm hit zones to help enable those BIG SCORES.
So if you haven't shot with us before, now's your chance to come and have some fun.

This will be a 31 shot course, as the "golden gibbon" is waiting to test your skills.

Please note that this is a NO FOOD EVENT.

After the shoot we will also be giving away a fortune in cash at our raffle and more of our coveted, pure 24 carat gold effect medals and as a bonus, the very rare and sort after, stolen golden sausage dog badges.

KICK OFF IS AT 10am, but you must have booked in by 9:45am, so that the booking in people can prepare for shooting. If you turn up after 9:45, expect a day on the plinking range.
Please bring the correct cash to help with the booking in, it's £5+£1 for members and £10+£1 for guests.

MAD SUNDAY MONTHLY RESULTS 05-04-26

After a brief shower at the start of the shoot, the sun came out and we all enjoyed a sunny and windless day out.
Big hitter Vince had lubed up his regulator with tallow as an experiment and that ended as expected.
Brand new junior Anthony put in a great effort in his first time at MAD.
Plenty of stick shooters there today, possibly the biggest class group of the day, so definitely taking a foothold.

No rain was a bonus, but the tiniest hint of a breeze left the big hitters scratching their anatomy.
Some pretty decent scores mid pack.
The bluebells are on the rise and that can only mean that Spring is almost with us.
The Golden Gibbon was a scary nine and a half yards away and 4 skillful people flopped it and thus received an equal share of the huge cash pot.
