⭐️ Tuesday MSK education ⭐️

👌Did you know your spine has 7 levels of your neck, 12 levels of your mid back and 5 levels of the lower back?

👌It is a spinal column that enables you to bend, straighten and twist to carry out everyday activities!

👌In this day, we spend many hours sitting….something our ancestors didn’t do!

👌Our beautiful S shape spine in poor posture often adopts a C shape posture (not great 😞)

👌Fortunately at Cheltenham Stick Mobility, every week we work through a series of stretches to improve the mobility of the spinal column and offset the stresses and strains we place on our spine every day!

People often ask me who should attend a stick mobility class?

There is a misunderstanding that it is a class full of walking sticks!!!!

The questions to ask yourself ….

Why wait until a joint is stiff and painful? Mobilise it throughout your life to reduce this happening.

Why wait till your lower back goes into spasm after bending for a low cupboard? Improve your spine movement every week to reduce this risk.

Why wait till your leg muscles weaken and your balance decreases eventually leading to falls? Practice these moves with the aid of the training stick to challenge and improve strength and balance.

Whilst the current classes are for ages 18+ only, these youngsters are showing us how it’s done!
