Our U18s were away to Burgess Hill in their County Cup fixture this afternoon.

Words from their manager:

The 4-0 scoreline certainly doesn't reflect the performance! For me, that was probably the best I've seen the girls play so far this season.

As a TEAM, I genuinely felt we played the better football. Every single girl contributed, worked incredibly hard and gave everything. More importantly, we're seeing everything we've been practising in training coming together on the pitch. As coaches, we couldn't ask for more! 👏

Another massive positive is that the girls have really found their voices! 🗣️🙌 The communication, encouragement and togetherness before, during and after the game were fantastic!

🏆 Player of the match was awarded to Danielle today

In truth, every girl could have received the award today, but Danielle was outstanding at the back, showing great discipline, determination and commitment to the team. Well done, Danielle! 👏🏆

⚽ Lindfield U16 1 v Crawley Down U16 3⚽⚽⚽

Excellent performance today and an excellent result against a very good Lindfield team! 👏

We played some excellent football in the opening 20 minutes and deservedly went 2-0 up. From there, we managed the game really well, dug in when we needed to and limited Lindfield’s chances.

👏 Two massive moments in the first half that deserve a special mention!

With the score at 2-1, Ayanna produced an absolutely brilliant goal-line clearance to prevent what looked like a certain goal! 💪

And Chloe pulled off a fantastic one-on-one save to keep us ahead! 🧤👏

Both were huge moments in the game. If either of those had gone in, it could have completely changed the match. Brilliant defending and goalkeeping from both girls! 👏❤️

A really mature performance and a well-deserved victory! ⚽👏

🏆 Manager’s Girl of the Match – Codi

She put in a massive shift in holding midfield. Nothing got past her, and she was excellent throughout! 👏💪

🏆 Captain’s Girl of the Match – Mollie

Some excellent footwork and touches, held the ball up really well and played some beautiful forward passes. Another really strong performance! 👏⚽

⚽ Crawley Down Gatwick Girls U12s 9–3 Lewes

Great to be back to winning ways today with a 9–3 victory against a Lewes side who never gave up and kept battling until the final whistle.

It took us a little while to get going, but once we found our rhythm, the girls played some fantastic football, putting together some really good passing moves, creating plenty of chances and scoring some excellent goals! 👏⚽

A really good team performance and plenty of positives to take into our next game.

Our U14's were at home to EG Meads this morning coming away with a 3-1 win.

A great performance from all 12 girls today. They never stopped running on a very hot autumn day. Some good passing and great to see them not panicking on the ball and looking for teammates in space. The forward play was the best it's been this season with the wingers working to get into space and run and take on the defender.

Our U13 girls had a frustrating game away to Hove Park Colts this morning resulting in a 2-2 draw. They went out strong from the beginning, had a high work rate in the hot weather and showed unbelievable character to come back to get a draw 👏

Player of the match was awarded to Liv 🏆
