A busy weekend for our U12's.

On Friday evening they lost out on penalties to Guildford in the semi final of the South Park tournament but bounced back today and won their final on penalties against Eastbourne at the Seaford tournament 🏆

Our U12's went into their final match of the season needing a win against Lindfield Lionesses to secure the Championship title.

On a hot morning, with both teams short of players and subs, all girls from both teams put on a brilliant display in an end to end epic.

Crawley Down took the lead in the first half with a clinical finish by captain Indie and created further chances without finding the back of the net.

After the break Lindfield grew into the game and twice took the lead but goals from Isla, an own goal and a calm finish by Liv in the last minute of the match was enough to secure the 4-3 win and clinch the title.

Player of the match to Ella for a brilliant performance in defence and a shout out to all the girls involved on the day and over the last 9 months which has seen the girls reach the county cup quarter final, the league cup final and a league title.

Holly, Isla, Lexi, Tanisha, Ella, Tali, Mia, Beau, Indie, Libby, Ellie, Liv & Fran ... A brilliant effort and a season to remember 👏🏻🏆

Huge congratulations to our U13 girls who have officially been crowned league champions! 🏆⚽

Two seasons ago, the team lost 7 players to another side, but the coaches showed incredible determination, stuck together and rebuilt the squad from the ground up. What they’ve achieved since then is a real testament to the hard work, resilience and team spirit shown by everyone involved.

To top off a fantastic season, manager Rob was also named the club’s Youth Section Coach of the Year this weekend 👏

A massive well done to all of the players and coaches. This success is thoroughly deserved and everyone at the club is incredibly proud of you all!

A fantastic effort from our U12 girls today in the League Cup Final against Horsham Sparrows at Lancing FC.

The early chances fell to Crawley Down, but it was Horsham who went into half time 1-0 up after clinically taking their chance.

An early goal soon after kick off gave Horsham a 2-0 lead, Mia pulled one back for Crawley Down with a well taken finish with 10 minutes to go, but the equaliser never came despite wave after wave of attacks.

Despite the disappointment of losing, reaching the final is a fantastic achievement and every girl should be proud of how they performed and conducted themselves.

Congratulations to Horsham Sparrows for their victory in what was a brilliant match.
