The (nearly) end of our 2nd season at Hawks and another fantastic season it was too. The U14 boys and Girls as well as the U16 girls performed brilliantly in their respective leagues.

For the U14’s in both girls and boys the majority will be returning to the same age group next season and be able to build on their season from this year.

The U16 girls went into the final game of the season with a chance to top the league and we are@still await f confirmation from the league.

The Junior Development League Girls team not only topped the league but then won the playoffs with some outstanding hockey throughout the season as many girls were given the chance to play full pitch, 11–a-side hockey for the first time.

All is not over for the U10 & U12 boys and girls as we play host to the regional finals alongside clubs & as we welcome the qualifying teams from Kent, Surrey and Sussex to on 26th April.

Big thank you to .school for your support throughout the season and also to for providing delicious treats for everyone on 26th April as well as parents and members for some fab cakes.

Making a difference on the field!

We are thrilled to share that in partnership with & one of our parent coaches Ralph Muvhiiwa we have donated hockey sticks & balls to .zw in Zimbabwe. Helping talented students pursue their passion for hockey.

As a former student, Ralph knows first-hand how a lack of equipment can be a barrier for many being able to experience the joy that hockey brings.

“Your support came at a crucial time when our two hockey teams were sharing only one set of hockey sticks, which made training and match preparation extremely challenging…Our learners now train with renewed confidence and energy.”

This was Ralphs second donation, after the first one back in 2018! In addition, Ralph provides two annual hockey and academic prizes to encourage excellence both on and off the field. Empowering young athletes and create opportunities for them to shine.

The head of hockey at Mazowe wrote “We truly value your continued support towards the growth of sport at our school. May your generosity continue to uplift and inspire young talent.”

Weekend results- 7th December 2025

“Oh, the weather outside is frightful… 🌧️
It doesn’t show signs of stopping…” Frank Sinatra was right and he was clearly predicting Sunday’s weather except there was no snow.

Well done to all children, parents, coaches, volunteers and umpires for braving the elements to make sure Hockey went ahead as normal. 🏑

U10 girls had a successful time away at winning 4 and drawing 1 also with .

U10 Boys were at home in ☔️ against & in the worst of the weather.

U14 girls T3 squad had a match away at - a great game and first hockey match for two of them and first full pitch outing for others. A hard fought match losing 4-2.

U14 Boys played some excellent and impressive hockey against . And 8-1 win with a stylish display in pretty miserable weather. Particularly exciting to see them play out of position and some defenders score goals (even instinctively taking goal line glory from their teammates 😂).

Finally a sickness and injury depleted U16 girls managed an impressive win against (8-0) despite playing with on 10 - this seems to be the secret with this lot!!

Well done to all and thank you as always.

Next weekend is a Christmas Hockey Marathon for all age groups raising money for - the brainchild of some of the U10 & U12 girls. Look out for more details. Most importantly with be on site to keep everyone warm with hot drinks and fed with snacks. 🙏🏼☀️
