Absolutely delighted for PRL Coaching 2013 attendee Mia Johnstone, who has officially signed on the dotted line for Hibernian Football Club! 💚⚽️

This is a fantastic achievement for Mia and a brilliant reward for the hard work, commitment and dedication she continues to show towards her football.

Mia has been a regular attendee at PRL Coaching and it has been a pleasure for us to play a very small part in her development. Seeing young players who come through our sessions earn opportunities within the professional academy environment is something we are incredibly proud of.

The work doesn’t stop here. Signing for Hibernian Football Club is the beginning of another exciting stage in Mia’s development, with new challenges, high standards and plenty more opportunities to learn and improve.

Most importantly, this achievement belongs to Mia. She has earned the opportunity through her performances and continued development, and she should be extremely proud of herself.

A huge congratulations also to Mia’s family and everyone who has coached, supported and encouraged her throughout her football journey so far.

Everyone at PRL Coaching wishes Mia the very best as she begins this exciting new chapter with Hibernian.

✍️ THE GOOD NEWS KEEPS ON COMING!

Huge congratulations to 2017 PRL attendee Flynn McFadden, who has accepted a fantastic opportunity and commitment from Livingston Football Club! ⚽️👏

Flynn has been attending PRL Coaching since we opened our Stirling site back in 2023, and throughout that time his commitment, enthusiasm and positivity have been outstanding.

Flynn is one of those players who turns up, attends consistently and puts the work in. He arrives ready to learn, ready to work and with a smile on his face. His enthusiasm for football is infectious, and his willingness to listen, learn and challenge himself has been evident throughout his time with us.

Now he is reaping the rewards of that consistency and commitment.

There are lots of young players out there who want opportunities. They want trials, academy experiences and the chance to be involved with professional clubs.

But wanting the opportunity and being willing to consistently work for it are two very different things.

Flynn is a great example of a young player who has continued to show up and put the work in. Week after week, month after month, year after year.

There are no guarantees in football, regardless of how hard a young player works, but consistently turning up, listening, learning and working to improve gives them the best possible chance when opportunities do come along.

It’s no surprise to us that so many of the players receiving opportunities are the same kids we see consistently putting extra work into their development.

It has been brilliant to watch Flynn’s progression over the last few years, and we’re delighted to see him earn this exciting opportunity with Livingston FC.

Congratulations to James Rae on winning our August Player of the Month award!

👏👏👏

When James first joined PRL Stirling three years ago, he was a development-level player who was relatively new to football, having started later than many others.

James was still building the foundations of his game and finding his feet.

The progress he has made since then has been incredible.

James has worked his way up through the levels through consistent attendance, hard work and a determination to improve. He turns up to every session, listens, takes information on board and is willing to work on the areas that need attention.

As a coach, those qualities give you so much to work with. You can offer advice, support and encouragement, but the player has to be willing to put in the effort.

James deserves enormous credit for the way he approaches his development, week after week.

His efforts have earned him extra training opportunities with Falkirk FC in the past and, more recently, an invitation to attend extra training with St Johnstone FC.

It’s fantastic to see those opportunities opening up for him and to know how much work has gone into reaching this point.

What makes James such a pleasure to coach is his personality alongside his commitment. He is positive, enthusiastic, easy to talk to and easy to work with. He always brightens up the hub when he walks through the doors, and his willingness to listen and learn makes working with him a pleasure.

His attitude and consistency deserve every bit as much recognition as his progress on the pitch.

For any player who starts a little later or is still finding their feet, James is a brilliant example of why your starting point doesn’t have to define your progress. There is so much value in turning up, being open to feedback and continuing to work at your game.

A thoroughly deserved award, James. We are proud of the progress you’ve made, the effort you continue to put in and the way you carry yourself at PRL. You should be very proud of how far you’ve come.
