My Network for Women 🟣 has been a CIC since 2018 and the networks founder Jude Chan, has hosted and brought together a fantastic community in Doncaster to support women in business. The 14th September marks the 100th event for My Network for Women at the Danum Gallery, library and museum, Waterdale, Doncaster.

I had the great pleasure of joining My Network for Women in 2021. Having supported several workshops, and 2 IWD events it’s really humbling since the last IWD event to be presented with a Mayor appreciation certificate alongside Jude. Unfortunately I couldn’t make the ceremony at Mansion House today but never the less since initially moving to Doncaster in 2019 just before Lockdown I didn’t know what to expect. Coming out of lockdown I still didn’t know a single soul here and as a mum to a preschooler it’s was a completely new world for both of us in more ways than one. Two houses and one office later I’ve genuinely met THE best people, super supportive, knowledgeable, uplifting and driven to see the city and its community thrive despite so many odds and it’s been so refreshing and inspiring to be surrounded by that type of positivity while going through so much change.

Say what you want about Doncaster, but in my opinion it’s community and networking really has been and still is a diamond of a springboard when you’re building anything because Doncaster has been building that infrastructure for businesses and people to thrive for some time now and it’s so great the community are only hungry for more. ⭐️

Great talk on being cyber ready @ IFE

My business inbox and Facebook messenger was maliciously hacked and deliberately compromised nearly all of last year and as a small business it's a huge hindrance and compromised a lot of time and effort to stall my businesses progress and my reputation. Unfortunately It's something we have to document, report and learn how to better protect ourselves from but it's certainly not easy.

The show today is great though, lots of innovation, great selection of suppliers and products, informative talks around trends, AI and cyber security, especially across food and drink supply chain. Which leaves a lot to really consider if you're in the food and drink industry about managing and supporting the industry and supply chain responsibly as we all tackle new and unforeseen challenges in our day to day.

Anyone that knows me, knows I have a soft spot for really great quality skincare. When I saw an opportunity to join Templespa with my Glow of the Soul sound baths. I’ve only took my diagnosis of underactive thyroid seriously this last 7 years. I was actually diagnosed in 2012, when I had episodes of chronic fatigue and my periods stopped without warning. Thyroid health is extremely important to your bodies function and metabolism and continues to be something I’m still learning about after having two very poor results last Sept and this Feb and having to reinstall quality recovery time and the symptoms that have to be managed due to that.
