A fantastic performance with battles all over the pitch and some excellent team defending. A real nail-biter with both sides creating chances right until the end 🖤⚽

Massive congratulations to Seb from Doncaster United JFC on winning the Mini Great North Run! 🏃‍♂️🏅💚

At just 7 years old, Seb ran the 1.2km course in an incredible 4:48 — averaging 4:00 per km or around 6:26 per mile.

An exceptional performance, especially when he was competing against children up to 8 years old. He was also probably one of the only race winners not attached to a running club, showing just how much natural athletic ability he has.

Just look at his stride and gait as well. For a 7-year-old, it’s seriously impressive.

We’re incredibly proud to have Seb as part of Doncaster United. What a talent and what an achievement! 👏💚⚽️🏃‍♂️

💚⚽ WEEKEND MATCH ROUND-UP ⚽🖤

A new season is underway, with some brilliant football, plenty of effort and lots of positives across our teams! 👏

U8 Black
A fantastic start with positive energy from beginning to end. The lads played some great football throughout 💪⚽

U8 White
A brilliant first league performance against Tickhill! Great teamwork, determination and resilience, with every player showing how much they’ve developed and embracing everything asked of them 💚🤍

U9 Black
First game in the bag away to a very athletic Branton side. A few summer cobwebs to shake off, but the effort was there and the lads created some good opportunities 👊⚽

U9 Gold
A slow start against Hyde Park, but the lads showed fantastic character to battle their way back into the game. Some clever changes and a never-give-up attitude were rewarded right at the end 💛💪

U10 Gold
A good start to the Autumn season away at Moorthorpe. Great performances across the pitch, with the lads playing confidently and, most importantly, clearly enjoying their football 💛⚽

U10 Green
No league action just yet, but a really positive friendly against Worksop. The boys passed the ball well, worked together to create chances and showed that the hard work in training is paying off. Bring on the league! 💚⚽

U10 White
A tough and competitive opener against a good Brodsworth Reds side. Four great goals, plenty of hard work and, despite setbacks, the team kept fighting until the final whistle with heads held high 💚🤍

U12 Green
A narrow 4-3 defeat away at FC Messys on a difficult pitch. Some really good football and plenty of chances created - it just wasn’t our day, but a positive performance overall. 💚

U13 Green
Off to a flying start with an excellent 2-0 win against Retford Orange. A great way to get the new campaign underway! 💪💚

U14 Green
A hard-fought 1-1 draw with Retford Black in a really evenly matched contest. The lads improved as the game went on, created plenty of chances and were unfortunate to concede the equaliser late on ⚽💚

U16 Black
A superb start to the season with a 6-0 win over Sandall Beat. After a goalless first half against a stubborn defence, the floodgates opened after the break - including goals for two new signings. Brilliant start! 🖤🔥

💚⚽ COULD YOU BE OUR NEXT COACH? ⚽💚

Doncaster United JFC continues to grow — and so does the need for more great people to help develop the next generation of young footballers.

Over the past year, we’ve already helped develop numerous coaches, supporting them with experience, qualifications and opportunities to grow within the game.

We’re now looking for both:

⚽ New coaches wanting to get started and gain experience
⚽ Experienced coaches who would like to give something back and help develop young players

📅 Possible regular coaching opportunities:
Tuesday evenings | Wednesday evenings | Saturday mornings

No previous coaching experience is needed to get involved. We’re looking for positive, reliable people with a passion for football and helping young players enjoy the game.

For those with the relevant experience and qualifications, there may also be paid coaching opportunities available.

Whether you’re looking to start your coaching journey or bring your experience into a growing club, we’d love to hear from you.

⚽️ A brilliant day with Doncaster Rovers Training Centre! 🔴⚪️

A huge thank you to Doncaster Rovers Training Centre for hosting our players. We’ve had nothing but positive feedback from the kids – they absolutely loved the football, the coaching and getting the chance to have a tour of the club. 🙌

A particular highlight was getting inside the changing room, with plenty of them buzzing to sit in club captain Owen Bailey’s seat! 😂⚽️

Days like this are all about giving grassroots players new experiences and creating memories they’ll talk about for a long time.

We’re looking forward to continuing to build on our strong relationship with Doncaster Rovers Training Centre and creating even more fantastic opportunities and memories for our players. 💚🖤

Thank you again for having us! 👏⚽️
