Have you been particularly impressed by the society this year? Or do you think there are areas which could be improved? In any case, please do take some time to fill out our annual survey found HERE, to be in with a chance of winning one of three free day trips! This is a great opportunity to have a say in how the society is run and what you think could be improved, which makes a huge difference as without you guys coming on and enjoying trips, the society simply would not be able to function. Thanks!

This Easter holiday, departing Durham on the evening of the last Friday of term, we will be venturing up North to the Scottish Highlands for our first expedition of the year, in Glen Etive! You’d be hard pressed to find a more epic location in the UK, which may be why part of Skyfall was filmed here. Glen Etive boasts to be one of the most beautiful valleys in the Scottish Highlands, and the area around it is home to a plethora of stunning mountains such as Ben Starav and Creise, and benefits from the nearness of Glencoe to extend its range to Buchaille Etive Mor and the famous Bidean nam Bian!
This expedition will comprise 3 days of walking and 3 nights, including Friday night by the car park, and will cost £53 covering transport and dinner for the 2 nights out on the hill. Sign up will happen at 08:00hrs this Thursday via this FORM, so set those alarms! A yellow and red exped route will be on offer; due to the remote nature of the trip and the full-on nature of expeditions at times, previous experience of expeditions will need to be seen for this - (not necessarily with the society so don’t let this put you off though!). See you there!
